Peggy had a scan yesterday which revealed a mass on her liver, also that the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes. She also has two tumours on her tummy. Treatment would involve surgery to remove the tumours and ongoing chemotherapy.
My daughter is deeply distressed about this news, it's not we wanted to hear but I know she will make the right decisions for her furbaby.
Peggy is 12, which isn't particularly old for a small dog but of course it's a different story if they get a disease that cuts their life short, like my Maltese boy Ben who I said goodbye to a few years ago at age 13 and a half.
