You would've turned 100 last Saturday if you were still alive, how bizarre

You departed when I was 39, it seems like yesterday but now I'm nearly as old as you were when I said my last goodbye to you

Still your baby though

Dad, you left this mortal coil when I was 13 and you were 63 so now I'm older than you

I remember Mum was very sad for a while but then as she approached her own death, she confided in me that she never really loved you which was quite confronting as I thought she worshipped the ground you walked on

Anyway, wherever the two of you are now I hope you are in peace and I'm just getting on with it and doing the best I can like I did back then
