This little guy is quite independent for the most part and a very good boy. However I've realised that he is quite hyperactive and that may be to do with his breed (I assume he has some terrier in him). He follows me everywhere and picks up on every nuance; if I use hairspray he assumes I'm going out and he's coming too. If I wear certain clothes, shoes etc ... same.
This isn't so much of an issue as I don't respond to his reactions, it's more about his hyperactivity and hyper reactions to every sound and movement outside of the house, he never seems to relax
I'm hoping to keep working in my current job, which I love, as long as I can
I'm 64 now and can retire on a pension in two years.
But having had a break in my working life a few years back I found myself bored out of my mind, there's only so much gardening, cooking, shopping, reading etc that you can do
My work gives me purpose, it's challenging, rewarding and satisfying

Pet Therapy
Fortunately my little guy has never had this problemHe's a very well-behaved boy but I'm thinking that I'm accepting his hyperactivity like I did when he was a puppy but he isn't one any more
It's not a big deal, he's not destructive or anything like that, I just would like to help him be a bit more calm
