RE: Where's God?

Bungalow The believers still believe, the unbelievers dont believe, and the Angry Disbelievers still spew their pennysworth of Vitriol.
Nothing ever changes, Dettol is Dettol and God is love heart wings heart wings heart wings

RE: what does your country look like on the map ?

My country Ireland is a little Teddy Bear sitting on my lap. Thats how I see it....teddybear teddybear

RE: Where's God?

Equiya Thanks Equiya, apologies for that, and yes, I loved that pop Group so subconsciously I typed that name. But I think you understand who I meant. Thanks anywaythumbs up

RE: Where's God?

Bungalow When bad things happen, for instance the atrocities that are befalling these innocent children in Nigeria {procol Haram] it is easy to ask 'why doesnot God intervene? but this is Earth, not a Haven or Heaven. This is what happens when Men of Hatred, Evil run riot and has nothing to do with God. It has to do with putting God at the end of a Gun, a knife, psycopaths,Egocentric fanatics and you have to ask what type of a human could do this to a little girl or boy ? It is the opposite of God, and what God stand for... what God is... Fanatism is Evil. Ukraine is another example [albeit not as violent] of pure Greed and the need to rule.
But Hatred and mocking God is not the answer... peace

RE: water tax

Excuse typho due to hands... should have read 60per cent of water has Flouride.

RE: water tax

For the lower paid, those with Mortgages, elderly, all the Bills have gone up, as well as VAT, so we are being Taxed anyway. I feel that we have borne the brunt of the Governments incompetence and chaotic running of the country /Bankers [you know the story] during the property Boom, the bankers have received Handshakes and we are left holding the Can.
Enough is enough. I have already stated my views on the Water charge and also on the Flouride 960pc] in the Water, and I am furious that having being deemed enforced medication by the EC countries - Brussels, and a class 2 poison, plus an insectiicde with carciogenic properties, that kills the thyroid, causes kidney stones and a plethora of other ills, including neuroligical disorders, Depression, and other things.. We must stand firm. I have said in this blog that the Water pipes are of 3rd World standard, the whole thing is a fiasco. ireland

RE: Texting while driving

Unlaoised, I see this everyday, I have made signs at them and get the two fingers. Alot of young women, with kids in the Car too. The huge lorries worry me, they have the name of the company they work for on the side but its my word against theirs . Somebody will be killed outside my door, As ive said,I no longer can walk as soon as light goes green, I have to watch that a serial Texter or somebody in deep conversation on their iphone isnt going to crash the lights !!

RE: Texting while driving

Hi, Living on a main road and near the M50 [extremely busy] I see [each day] dozens of large vechiles, articulated trucks doing a turn with the driver on the Mobile, using one hand on the large vechile. I also see women and men do the same. If I had a few pounds for each time I have seen it I would be rich. I am suprised there are not more people killed. I cannot walk when the green light comes on now, [as a pedestrian] as I was nearly run over by a young woman in deep conversation, speeding and taking a left turn, she just missed by because I jumped back.... Sick of these laws that are never properly enforced.

RE: water tax

Jean was a sympathizer, when blood is up, that can be enough...... She saw Brits as human too. Mortal Sin up there then, and as ive said, its easy to be hypothethical down here, we werenot up there in the thick of it, trying live amidsst the chaos. Every war has its mistakes, I am not condoning anything... its a reality

RE: water tax

Neither sides have clean hands, it would be niave and not helpful to the peace process to say otherwise. It will take a generation to heal... the hurts are too deep. ireland

RE: water tax

Pheonix regarding Ms.McConville R.I.P. She was in a mixed religion marriage, extremely poor and had ten children, she made no secret of the fact she hated extreme Republicanism like the sort that was walking around Belfast. She tended a wounded soldier and made no secret of the fact she hated the situation. Where would she have gotten the time to be a Tout with ten children, this is a serious question ? I was born in UK by the way. Kensington. London

RE: water tax

I work on a site in US so paxil is their name for Seroxat, meant to say Seroxat. Yep, was in inner city yesterday and alot of posters on the Flats complexes for Mannix Flynn. Wonder how SF will do ? There is an independent around my area using the Water TAx as a carrot ! I say that
for a reason. wine Speaking of Hot Air, will they be taxing the air too
Rhetorical question.

RE: water tax

Snowlynx/Hardy it's your perogative what you believe and i am aware that I am probably coming across as a 'Crank' I quite honestly dont have the energy. some time when you are bored, just have a good read, I wasn't convinced either when I read it, just as I am not convinced that we should take the flu Vaccine each year, I guess its a personal thing but I have researched it well. We shall agree to disagree. By the way, when you get used to Unflouridated water and then drink it from the tap, its disgusting. ireland My mind is now wondering who is going to get into power in the forthcoming election...... ireland

RE: water tax

Snowlynx I absolutely agree, people have been wasteful with water for a long time, I have been a water conservationist since childhood, always watered plants with the outside water Tank, , never left tap running whilst brushing teeth etc., I never took Water for granted. I totally agree, there should be a charge, but this surely give us a right as to the cleanliness andn purity of the water? Galway, and other country areas have been putting up with disgusting water for ages, I am simply asking that they make allowances for the genuinely poor, the aged, who fear bills. I am asking them to remove a substance that has been shown to be injurious to health, and to clean up their act with regard to the old pipes and where the money that comes from this tax goes.

RE: water tax

p.s. I have no problem paying a water charge if the Flouride is taken out but I would like an assurance, a clear and concise plan as to how the money will be spent, Also that the pipes throughout Ireland which are in 3rd world condition should have been repaired, fixed, replaced before this ill thoughtout moneymaking scheme be implemented. It reminds me of the famous machines for Voting, now lying dormant.... another botched idea. help If one cares to access the internet, oncologists, endocronolgists, scientists, etc., of high repute would repudiate the notion that they are scaremongering....

RE: water tax

Does anyone remember 'Grey power' where hundreds of elderly people, some in wheelchairs cheered and ranted outside the Dail with regard to their Cuts in pension etc., Unlikek the younger Cubs who didnot take to the streets like I did in my youth, these people were stongminded , even if frail in body.... there is strength in numbers and they had their payments restored. !! applause [Dail is a Government builidng in Dublin for those reading who maynot know ]. There is great power in Numbers, I, ONE, ME, Myself, with others can protest with our feet, not pay, will they take us ALL to Court ? I doubt it. As it is with Water, the pipes are in an awful state and leaking gallons of water. The entire system including the boxes they are going to installl is a mess, a calamity, Why not be more like the Icelandic people ? no harm in taking to the streets.

RE: water tax

I realise I am abit late to this Forum but I have been out too ! Not all Irish people are Apathethic and I for one, spent alot of my life fighting for the rights of others, for decent housing etc.,
Now Water - A necessity ~ I am trying to get people to realise, that the people with alot of money arenot going to conserve water and will continue to sprinkle their lawns etc., The middle classes and poor will install WaterBarrels outside their homes. The huge issue for me is, that 60per cent of the Water we drink is Flouride, a class 2 poison, used as recently as the 70s by the Medical profession to make the Thyroid underactive, used in War Camps to make people docile, causes Cancer, Kidney Stones, and a host of other illnesses. I for one will go to Jail if I have to but willnot pay for Flouride [ a pesticide] that other countries like Belgium and Ec countries have deemed to be Medicating the people. Google if you want confirmation.

RE: so wood you date someone with no job

I wouldnot be interested in a Man who was unemployed as a 'Lifestyle' who didnot make any attempt to downshift to get some type of job, or even take up study to give himself a better chance of getting a job. If I was with a man who lost his job through recession/place closing down , I would expect HIM to have a lovely Dinner ready for me when I got home tired... and a cool drink, and massage my neck... What planet am I living on ? Well, I can dream can't I ?wine wine

RE: How would you react if you were lied to for the greater good?....

Lying for me is the ultimate insult. People who are economical with the truth are lying too. In a relationship, lying/being unfaithful would mean for me, it's time to get out. Our Governments lie to us, especially at Election time, where promises are made that can never be delivered - more lies, illusion, false promises, ireland

RE: Bring Back Our Girls

JeanKimberly, So so true, women are seen as a mere commodity , to have babies, to cook, to be a chattel for mens desires. You are right in that you say its in our own back yards.

RE: Yourself please

Open minded Christian, tolerant one. Question everything .Love God maybe thats a better answer I worship God. My own way mostly.

RE: New Dentures

Hello, I know that the lower arch is the hardest to work with in terms of either Dentures , partial Dentures [one or two] or even implants.
There are many reasons for this but if you look at upper arch and lower arch you'll see that the lower hasnt as much Gum and the bone shrinks with age etc., its v important that they fit as if they arenot comfy they will irritate the gum and cause all manner of problems, its easy for him to fix them if too loose or too tight... in your case too lose, ill fitting and don't let him fob you off with 'They'll settle in' if they hurt in the beginning and arenot comfortable, they will only cut into your gums. Best of luck. I lost some teeth during Snow a few years ago in a bad fall. Am saving up for implants.

RE: Gerry Adams brought in for questioning.

MaryLou didnt do him any favours [or the party] by showing her teeth and a complete lack of empathy or even a shred of decent sympathy for the family who lost their mother at such a young age ! We may be fed up of the Bullies and Brown paperbag merchants who rule this Island but not that fed up............ hopefully !!ireland

RE: Whats your worst ever song that you hate of all time?

Tammy Wynette [Excuse spelling] DIVORCE makes me cringe !!
another one of hers was 'STAND BY YOUR MAN' ironically she divorced a few months after... hate Country and Western... in the main.
Two little boys.... in the light of what we know now.... wink

RE: women in their 30's rock the boat the best

How do you know ? Have you tried all the other age groups ?laugh

RE: Generally speaking, is the United Nations doing a good job?

Bootboys for the powers that be.

RE: AMAZING, SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

You can also avoid the new Water Charges here in Ireland by washing in the local polluted river, or by simply not washing.... just a thought. Going to the local swimming pool once a week ? You can stop yourself getting your hands cut by buying organic frozen Veg. they taste just as nice and are fresher

RE: Dating with disabled person (on wheelchair or other serious disease)

Hi, I'm sure you know, there are many DatingSites for people with 'disabilities' I don't think that your disability should define you, then again, it is not easy and it's being politically correct to pretend it is.
I worked with a Blind Girl [she had a guide dog] and she was always going on Dates, had been married to a man with his sight and was always going here and there. She had a fantastic attitude. A co worker said to me 'She's in Denial' I thought that cruel and jealous. ~ She was simply a positive person beyond words. If a man was in a wheelchair and wanted to meet me, that wouldnot put me off.. Who do I think I am ? We all have disabilities, some are visible thats all.
