The last scientist that I can recall being his own harshest critic was Charles Darwin ... and, though he did point out many shortcomings in his work on evolution, most who read it seemed oblivious to his own comments in that respect!
You're not aware that mercury amalgam fillings have been the subject of a multitude of studies related to leaching and systemic poisoning ?
Are you not sufficiently well read ( as chemistry is your claimed forte ) on the negative health effects experienced by dental staff from handling mercury amalgam products - just as a single example?
No, you cannot name any mercury compound that is not poisonous or injurious to human health because ... there are none !
Tuna is very popular in Australia and also known to contain considerable levels of Mercury ( Oh, BTW You STILL HAVE Named any form of non poisonous Mercury Compound )
This might explain much re you both (CnP)
Mercury is also believed to target the brain. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR), inorganic, or elemental, mercury is converted into a divalent mercury ion, which can bind to thiol or sulfhydryl groups in proteins, resulting in disruption of protein structure and function (ATSDR, 1999). This may induce oxidative stress, lipid peroxidation, and mitochondrial dysfunction (ATSDR, 1999), which may promote the decline in cognitive performance. Methylmercury obtained via diet can accumulate in both the adult and fetal brain and is slowly transformed into inorganic mercury, which can act via the aforementioned mechanisms (National Academies of Science, 2000). A brain imaging study found that the areas of the brain most vulnerable to the toxic effects of mercury are the calcarine region, pre- and postcentral gyri, and the temporal transverse gyrus (Taber & Hurley, 2008). Granule cells in the cerebellum are also susceptible to harm (Taber & Hurley, 2008).
That was a very very simple question, but if there was part that you failed to understand, feel free to tell me!
Can you, or can you not, name ANY compound of mercury that is not poisonous or injurious to human health!
There's a difference (obvious to all the world but oblivious to you apparently) between 'exposure to' and 'being injected with'
Likewise - is it REALLY the case that you don't actually understand the term 'infant' or would like us to believe you were not initially raised on milk but fed from a BBQ ?
You find yourself in NZ I'll shout you dinner - the buffet style is 'OK' but you can't beat individual cooked dishes freshly served ... if ever you see Peshwary Naan ( sometimes written as Peshaware Naan) give that a go too
" Here's what we know ..."
