At commencement of his presidency I was full of hope that he might 'Do what he said in his campaign' yet, as time has passes he seems less and less able to do that, and more and more inclined to blame others ... anybody and everybody for the failures of the USA.

What I've learned about Chinese food ( I have a number of Chinese / Taiwanese (esp) friends also through a Tao group I sometimes study with) is that westerners think it bland because we've lost some of the sensitivity to the more subtle flavours ... many of them considered western food to be 'too much' too heavy, too sweet, too salty ... too everything !
But then again China also has substantial region difference Szechuan dishes typically has stronger flavours and (often more heat )

Totally agree with you - I've made that same point earlier and, if I can find the link, pointed to a UK GP (MD / family doctor) who has made that very same point - he admitted to the cold hard facts that, under normal circumstances decisions about treatments are based upon QALY's ( Quality Added Life Years) and that in the UK decisions re treatment are made on the approximate basis of 30K (GBP) per QALY. ( as a rough example if a hip operation is 30k then a person aged 75 can expect around 13 QALY's a person of 86 only 1 or 2 QALY's (and a substantially heightened risk of death under surgery or soon after as a consequence of surgery)
Looking at CV19 the logic has been replaced by blind panic and emotion and current spending is ( from memory) circa 1,000,000 plus per QALY which as he pointed out is not sustainable. He also pointed to 'other factors' such as depression, suicide and the overall decline in 'all services' available which will NEGATIVELY impact the quality of life for millions of people over the coming decade(s) through poverty created by unemployment ... and the inevitable pain that's endured.
Had he more time he might have gone on and explored how this is going to be exaggerated as we have more automation and less n less human labour in play ... while agreeing I think perhaps that's only the tip of a 'social issues iceberg'
Who else is a fan of Indian Food ... I'm fortunate to have two Indian friends (happily in different cities) who both own and cook in their own authentic Indian restaurants. Took both of them longer to build up a good clientele because they've stayed true to original recipes - whereas other place serve food that's been downgraded to serve local taste ... creamy sweet bland crap like the NZ version of butter chicken for example.
So ... who else likes Indian, what's your personal favourite and You like it Hot or Not ?
