RE: Is physical punishment good for children?

thumbs up ... and the best way to ensure is that is to have 'told them' at least once and warned them of the consequence

But NEVER ever slap a child in anger

And always ASK ... Do you understand what that ( punishment ) was for ?

Having them tell you is a hundredfold more effective than relying on them to have comprehended YOUR adult language. It provides an opportunity for you to clear up any misunderstanding they may have as to the reason why - and it ensures they have learned something from the experience. Growing up is after all, all about learning isn't it?

RE: Kanye West going for President of the USA

Yeah, can't really see the MIC and The Pentagon being thrilled about a CIC Rapper ... but then again, he'd be easily led so, amybe ... back to the Obama Days ... a black figurehead who would do as he was told ?

RE: Hurt

Maybe that's the problem ... you and a few others, beating it all day every day!

RE: Is physical punishment good for children?

It appears that you are failing to differentiate between physical punishment and physical violence

3. Distortion of meaning or intent: do violence to a text.

violence ('va??l?ns)

2. powerful, untamed, or devastating force: the violence of the sea.
3. great strength of feeling, as in language, etc; fervour
4. an unjust, unwarranted, or unlawful display of force, esp such as tends to overawe or intimidate
5. do violence to
a. to inflict harm upon; damage or violate: they did violence to the prisoners.
b. to distort or twist the sense or intention of: the reporters did violence to my speech.

Get down off your watchtower and quit looking for reasons to be offended you blatherin' eejit !
I was looking for reasons to understand your erratic behaviour when I glanced at world clock ( which has GMT displayed ) and it occurred to me that SD could be an issue.

The evidence is there for all three possibilities - as for 'just ignore' ... a perfect end to my day ( 00:30 here Tues 14th - which happens to be 13:30 GMT just FYI )

Sleep well :-)

RE: If you were a wizzard, how would the world be?

Hmmm, well, that would be cause I don't have anywhere to park such a vessel ... it would block out all the light to my neighbour's homes if I put it in the backyard, and besides, if it were in the backyard the submariner capability would be redundant!

But you totally missed the important to focus on the superficial ... stoners would NOT be spared the Red Pill !

RE: If you were a wizzard, how would the world be?

Me - I'd wizard up some great toys

Russian built yacht for example, a better Bugatti than anyone else has, a VERTOL Dreamliner as my private jet ... a whopping big cowboy outfit such as the USA !

And I'd give everyone in the world The Red Pill ... and we'd all have to face up to certain unpleasant truths ...

RE: Kanye West going for President of the USA

Cnsidering you billed yourself as The Most Knowledgeable Person on US Affairs ... well, that's either remarkably ill-informed or obviously devious untruth.

Donald Trump has not ever 'went into bankruptcy' and that is a fact.

IF you had 2 brain cells that fired in sequence you might understand ( and this is the same in Australia and most other nations ) a Limited Liability COMPANY has a separate legal identity to it's owners ( who are known as shareholders )

It's certainly a fact that The Trump Group HAS on several occasions filed for Bankruptcy Protection ...

But SO EFFING WHAT ? It's a legal strategy used by thousands of US Companies annually ?

General Motors used the same strategy and far more people suffered when they did - their Pension Fund (for example) had a $20 BILLION shortfall.

Hertz - division of Ford have used same

CHESAPEAKE - US Fracking Giant did the same

Virgin AUSTRALIA is currently using the same strategy as are hundreds more - there has been a notable increase in bankruptcy filings during the pandemic, according to the American Bankruptcy Institute. The group reported 560 commercial Chapter 11 filings in April, a 26% increase from last April 444 to 560 in April 2020 ...

I'm not sure what the Feminist Version of Numb Nuts would be, but for sure ... you qualify !!!

RE: Britain’s long goodbye will leave an unfillable hole in the EU project

Heaven knows I'm not a TC fan but dear lord woman - where have you been these last 40 years or more, eating grass and walking in twice a year to be sheared for wool ???

THATCHER KILLED THE STEEL INDUSTRY IN THE LATE 1970'S AND SHE HIRED MICHAEL EDWARDS TO KILL THE DOMESTIC CAR INDUSTRY.

The remainder of the car industry has been foreign owned and largely used to hold the British Government to ransom ( pay us subsidies or we'll go elsewhere ) and the last remnants of the once global supplier that was British Steel is now in the hands of Indian Conglomerate TATA ( who are also receiving vast subsidies to maintain an unprofitable industry )

Farmers and Fishermen ... again you're dwelling in nostalgia ! Many of the farms are decommissioned to gain EU subsidies and the fishing fleet was decommed as part of the agreement to join the EU and, at the same time Thatcher and her cronies destroyed the ship and rig building industries ( and very quickly had their buddies built expensive apartments so that industry would never again be possible )

Post WW2 Britain was run by The British who ACTUALLY DID HAVE the interests of the people at heart ... those days are long gone .

doh comfort

RE: Bad Luck

Sound advice in theory, but the reality is that the Global Village concept is a myth!

If we (any of us) do not find someone 'In The Real World' the chances of meeting a suitable stranger, from totally different culture, with different values, different language and etc etc are ????

It's a 'Double Bind' that Mankind has created here for Itself !

There's now so many fewer places to go and meet potential partners ITRW socially and 'Online' has become such a Big Thing that we suppose that ' we have to be in to win' ... even though the odds are smaller than those of a freshly netted mackerel becoming a TV Celebrity Chef Multi-millionaire!!!

RE: Is physical punishment good for children?

As I pointed out elsewhere it was past 3 am when you were writing - and a lack of sleep does not nothing at all for rationality in replies.

I'm not remotely concerned as to your assessment - some might think it arrogant and judgemental of you ... but I'll forgive you... maybe yer Pedro's sister :-)

RE: Bad Luck

I could ask you same question re your earlier posts ... but there is Truth in stating 'Sleep Deprivation Impacts Rationality' and it's 'like meets like' response to your sleep remark 'getting outta bed on the wrong side'

Y'll be right after a good sleep ... and a hair of the dog maybe angel2

RE: Bad Luck

Looking at the clock its 14:15 here in NZ and it's 03:15 there in Ireland (if that is indeed where you are )

SLEEP DEPRIVATION is a leading cause of irrational behaviour !

You might be wiser if you took y'self off to bed and maybe reply when you're better equipped yourself !

Sleep well !

You willing to wimp down to score on here ?

No ... I'm not surprised ... but I'll donate $50 to the Salvation Army Christmas Fund if you HONESTLY answer YES and then demonstrate it by behaving like a wet behind the ears wimpy whining object of ridicule until December ...

cheers

RE: Bad Luck

Seems you women (or at least a sizeable majority of ) have a radar that automatically makes any man who approaches into a hostile target.

It takes remarkably little effort to understand that when I say a man (such as OP) needs to 'make himself interesting' then that suggests, at the very least, that he refrains from behaving like wet behind the ears wimpy whining object of ridicule as he's done here, and as many have done before him.

Perhaps fishermen should refrain from putting bait on hooks 'to make the hook' look interesting ... no, thank heavens fish have not started behaving like 'liberated women' so THAT pastime is safe ... for now at least!

Or, tell me, have I missed something and you all are actually looking for a wet behind the ears wimpy whining object of ridicule ... ***

A link and referencing to this new data on 'What women want from a man' would make fascinating reading!

*** ACTUALLY that might be the case - there's a heck of a lot of thoroughly good men on here - I don't see any of them willing to wimp down !

The trick is to MAKE YOURSELF INTERESTING to the ladies !

Threads like this ... well, you MIGHT get a reply from someone who 'takes pity on you' but the sort of woman who takes pity on a man is gonna be more trouble than you can ever imagine.

Grow up... quit whining !
