RE: Moving from one country to another - How Traumatic?

1) THINK REAL Hard BEFORE YOU DO

2) Make WRITTEN LISTS of every thing, person place and cultural aspect that you love where you are

3) Cross off ONLY those you are willing to do without (Including speaking your own language )

4) Gather data (can't have too much) about your destination - and tick the positives , make a cross against anything you don;t fancy on a 1 to 10 scale of dislike

6) Balance those lists against one another

7) Never go to live in place you didn't visit

8) Never go live in a place you had only been to on holiday

9) IF you're a woman with GRANDCHILDREN ... don;t even think of doing that! You might like to escape your own kids, but you will miss your GKs like a flower misses water

10) Be sure you can afford to get home if it all turns to custard

3) ABSOLUTELY do not return home in the first three years of leaving ...

RE: Give Me the Gospel

' Generally a worthwhile book advising good for those who understand it though few do really and a book which has been horrendously messed with Churchmen With Agendas to gain power and wealth by exploiting their flock'

As an example 'Blessed are the poor' is preached by bishops who are living in earthly wealth beyond the imagination of the poor from whom they extracted their goodies !

RE: Department of Motor Vehicles

It seems ungracious BUT ... if a person 'gives a wave' (or a flash) or pauses to let someone in and the other driver acts on that it does create a problem.

There's lots on YouTube ... driver pauses, waves a driver who is waiting to turn across the front into a side street and the turning vehicle takes out a motor cyclist or cyclist who was approaching down the inside of the lane.

Or similar - pausing / waving a driver who wants to join the flow, or to cross the flow to turn left or right and then gets struck by a vehicle traveling down the 'far lane'

( L & R have different relevancies if you have LH or RH steering )

Sure, I'm polite in traffic and have no hesitation 'helping a fellow driver' by letting them in to a SINGLE lane but I'm REAL cautious about doing so in 'patchy traffic' or where there's cycle lanes and Ped Xings !

RE: What is he afraid of ?

No ... BOLTON CLAIMS THAT to be the case and Bolton's 'Kiss and Tell' has also disclosed (it is said by the DoJ ) a great many things that are harmful to the interests of the security , intelligence and diplomatic interests of the USA.

Perhaps Bolton could be entitled to similar treatment as Julian Assange ?

Basically Bolton would say / write anything his mates on the loony left pay him to say / write ... he's a Mercenary, for sale to the highest bidder !

Real reason US lost Vietnam War - US troops were in open revolt killing over 300 Officers

Notably the US have been instrumental in start almost every serious conflict since WW2, and those they didn't actually start they have fuelled and fanned the flames of. Yup there's big bucks in bombings n killings !

John Pilger's recent doco abut the forthcoming US war with China ( bound to happen - China will not be moulded by the US and the US apparently are dazzled by their own self image as perfect humans ) pointed out that missile test launches targeted at the Marshal Islands run at $150 million a pop ...

Real reason US lost Vietnam War - US troops were in open revolt killing over 300 Officers

It's a news article about historical events ... feel free to comment about it's accuracy.

You mention 'president himself choosing targets' any one(s) in particular ?

Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon all deepened U.S. involvement in the decades-long conflict all apparently ' being afraid of being seen as presiding over a US loss to the communists'

" The hidden war
Our army that now remains in Vietnam is in a state approaching collapse, with individual units avoiding or having refused combat, murdering their officers and non-commissioned officers, drug-ridden, and dispirited where not near-mutinous. Conditions among American forces in Vietnam that have only been exceeded in this century by the collapse of the Tsarist armies in 1916 and 1917.

It's said that 'Truth Will Always Surface - eventually ' and, I'd be interested to hear opinions / thoughts ... I guess there's probably more than a few Viet Vets on here ?

1) I never say 'trust me on this' but it's either that or go do your own research thumbs up

2) Fewer and fewer people in London have cars ... expensive to park, and there's an horrendous 'daily congestion charging' racket in play ! I dunno ... maybe kayak is an option but anything that's not screwed down or at least heavily secured tends to go missing quite quickly!

But sporty gals ( such as would kayak anywhere anyway tend to have their pick of athletic younger men - so, less chance of her seeking a quick Life Insurance (or divorce payout maybe ? )

RE: should I or not

Question: Seen any profile where women are advertising for poverty as a trait of their find ?

Besides, she will need taxi fares ...

;-)

RE: should I or not

Simple economics - UK ( and many other western nations ) have divorce regulations that provide extremely generously for the woman in the event of a divorce, and often after remarkably short time spans.

Old guys have 'old skool attitudes' and are probably less likely to raise the issue of a pre-nuptial agreement again 'perhaps' because they regard marriage as 'permanent, maybe they don;t have family to leave wealth to.

There's an old saying that "love is blind'

That's not true, but certainly many have been dazzled into (at least) temporary blindness !

Just how it goes 'Marry in haste - repent (and pay for it ) at leisure eh ???

cheers
