Well I think it does; a lot. What if a western woman dates someone from the middle east or another country where men are viewed as more important with more rights and thoughts as women. No way should a woman tolerate that.
I think religious is also important. If you are Christian and you want your kids to be brought up Christians, but you marry an atheist or muslim person who wants to have kids that believe like they do, then you have some serious issues.
Religion, to have kids and how many, how to handle money, where to live, etc... are all important things before marrying or dating seriously. Most though just date someone because they have the hots for them and when it gets serious, they then try to figure things out as they go along and that doesn't work.
I totally disagree. In some cultures women are not equal and the man's word and decisions are more important than women. In some cultures kids are told who to date, who to marry and who to spend time with. "honor" killings are seen all over the world.
Opposites attract has NOTHING to do with cultures, it has to do with personalities. I don't believe in many of the cultures ways and customs and would not allow those types of thoughts in my immediate life so yes, cultural differences do matter.
I would never date a non Christian. I want my kids to be raised Christian.

Mostly upper middle class to rich families supply booze to their kids; it never works out. It's illegal and the dumb parent can get into a lot of trouble.

Go by peoples actions. Many just listen to words. Words are used to make you believe what they want you to believe; actions show who someone really is and what the situation is.
Being a victim will not help. It takes two to be in a relationship and no one made you be with a person that hurt you. You have to realize what you need to do to better see who is good, and who isn't.
We all are independent to a point. But if someone is too independent they are terrible in relationships. They will want to live their own life on their own terms without sacrifice but then want this magical relationship on the side there for them to use like a stray puppy whenever they want.
Being in a relationship takes sacrifice, teamwork and compromise. People that are too independent want little or none of all 3.

I dont' come on too much but I've met some nice people and we were not a match for dating, but we became friends personally. Its' been fun; I post sometimes on the forums even though it can get pretty clicky with some of the regulars; especially when you disagree with any of them. Kind of ridiculous but it takes all kinds.

My opinions are anyone that thinks its ok for a person to literally cheat on someone by talking about being with someone else is pretty pathetic.
Lets look at the facts;
-the person is in a relationship -emotionally they are cheating and talking about physically cheating. -that means they are a liar and a cheat because no way would they tell their present relationship what they are doing.
To be honest I'm kind of shocked that this is even a question.
ummm YES it's bad. I wouldn't touch this person with a 10 foot poll in a snow storm while wearing a parka.
when I was in my 20's it was bad but now it's just ridiculous. Young guys are such scumbags that it's brutal.
Lets not get all on the guys; young women cheat a lot too and girls gone wild doesn't have a 20,000 girl waiting list because there are a lot of good girls wanting to read on camera.
society in general is a mess, the younger the age, usually the worse the character. sad.
a relationship is between two people that care about eachother. If you want to cheat or share people make sure you are TOTALLY honest about it so there are no surprises.
