RE: The disadvantages about modern life ..

I miss good manners. Manners are very important to a good functioning society. In so many ways and they have slowly seeped away leaving us with the society we now have blues

RE: A message to the American people and their president.

RE: Alcohol is becoming scarce in the USA due to supply chain problems

That may very well be true what you have written. In our history we have lived through a time called prohibition. During this time there was more and stronger alcohol than you could imagine. The only thing removing does is cost the government what they do not get in taxes from it. People will make their own. Many states have their own laws on home made brew. Where I live at I can make it, but I can not sell it without license. Yet I can gift it to a person. Believe me the government wants their share of the pie here. It will not be scarce as one fears. Very nice of you though to think of the well being of others bouquet

RE: Say Anything

I believe our enviroment is forever changing. Tho we do not help it the way we have dirtied it all up. It will still be as it has since the beginning of time. Changing. I wanted at one time to be an archaeologist and through that I studied climate change. It always has held my interest. How once upon time we had a large lake and then years and years go by and it is no more. I wish we had a longer spring in Florida than what we do. wine

RE: Do people in other countries routinely eat while they driving a motor vehicle?

My husband was a carpenter. Quite a good one. He made me a chess set and carved each of the little pieces perfectly. I gave it to my grand daughter after he passed. It was the last thing he made me. I will have to ask her for pics of it. wave

RE: Soup

laugh I am up now starting to cook some food for my days that I work this week! I can relate to the living alone. Many dishes I have googled to see if they can be frozen for a later time and how they maintain their taste. If I cook sweets I take a couple out and spread the rest around me. No need in them hanging out at my house mocking me. grin

One of this morning creations. Spinach and cheese stuffed into bread. A calzone grin This is good with or with out italian sauce to dip it in.

RE: Do people in other countries routinely eat while they driving a motor vehicle?

That is talent wine

RE: Say Anything

You will find this time of year we have a quick cold snap. And then again usually about two weeks in February. It only comes close to freezing temperatures once in a while. And I for one am glad. I already had my tomatoes and herbs started for the year blues I think I should be able to save them. Once the daylight comes I will know. You will be about an hour and half drive south of me neighbor wave

RE: Do people in other countries routinely eat while they driving a motor vehicle?

That is how it is here also. There is no specific law about food or brushing your teeth. Yet if you are in or cause an accident you can be brought up on other charges form doing those two very things. wave

RE: Do people in other countries routinely eat while they driving a motor vehicle?

wow uh oh Are you really gonna go there? I very seldom do it since I no longer spend all those long hours at work. In defense of myself. I didn't want to. I had to conserve time. I have also brushed my teeth while driving. Witnessed at a red light by a sheriff next to me. I would of not turned my head that direction if I had known he was there. dunno

RE: Soup

laugh I had to google the difference between soup and stew. And yes I do believe you are right. It does appear to look more like a stew. I really love to cook. I always considered it a form of art. blues I don't use recipes usually, nor do I have names for all my dishes. But there is something about cooking good food and seeing others appreciate it. A simple way to spread a little cheer. bouquet

RE: Soup

Look you already started making your soup. I see you are trying to get in hot water laugh

RE: Soup

wave I am using the slow cooker and after getting the knack of how one cooks in these appliances I am doing quite well. If you were close enough you could come see for yourself! beer

RE: Say Anything

The weatherman said the weather in back yard is coming from Cananda. blues Would you please come and get your weather. I am not equipped mentally or physically for this. crying

RE: Post a philosophy song

RE: Soup

Leek and potatoe is sooo yummy. I would have to say my favorite is chicken vegetable though right now I have a vebetable beef on. I like a brothy soup except with leek and potato then I brefer to be vegetable hearty. wave

RE: Why would people holiday in the USA ?

Not everyone here lives off of tips laugh you silly man. Now to your question. I think it depends on the person on what we have to offer. There is history worth talking about snooty maybe not like other countries. But history anyhow. I live in area referred to as the treasure coast, it has some nice history attached to it. I also am close to an area called the Everglades where it is different than a lot of places of earth. I am a quiet person so if I was your guide I would most likely steer you to the spots I love. Which is nature. I have a gorgeous beach at my finger tips. And swamps that people could get lost in easily if they didn't know how to navigate. I would take you through the most beautiful lagoon in the Indian River. Now if you are a party person (I am not) there is Miami near me and Orlando if you like Disney land. I don't know of a place on earth I could not learn something from. My father taught me an appreciation for traveling. And just where you know we have a lot of culture here. When ever you go somewhere the one thing you cannot leave behind is yourself. So if you want to have a bad time you will. uh oh I am not exciting person. I had a friend from Australia come visit a few years back. And I found their amusement was looking in Walmarts because we sold guns and grocieries under the same roof laugh We have many states with lots of things to do. I have just mentioned my area. I know that you like food, that would be found in Ft Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach area for fancy foods. I am more a barbeque person. I do like seafood. blues You would never starve here and you can go to museusms and plays in your area. Lets do things here that you would not see where you are at. wave I hope I have given you something to think about hug

RE: Looking For A Suggestion

Your welcome and yes I tried myself the first time. It did have sanding pads and I still couldn't make much of a dent sad it was like some kind of haze abomination going on. Yours might be a different kind of build up. Our climates are different and mine got really bad. You are so lucky to have a good mechanic you can trust. Mine passed away a while back so the search will begin again. wave You got this thumbs up

RE: Looking For A Suggestion

I had that with my headlights and I tried the kits. It was totally worthless blues then I tried paying a guy (not a professional) it was so bad he did not even take money for the kit he had bought. I wish I had went to a professional or checked into getting new head light covers something blues they stayed that way till I traded the car in. We don't have car inspections here. If you go to a professional make sure they guarantee the outcome. Good luck either way you go wave

RE: Brewing, Distilling and Fermenting.

You explained the process perfectly. But yet for some reason unknown to me, when making shine I refer to it as brewing dunno it might not be the politically correct word but it don't make it taste any differentlaugh

RE: Where Do You Stand?

I am single and happy. It took a while for me to get there. I rebuilt my life after my husband passed. blues It was not easy. We had known each other forever and a day. And he was sick for a little while before he passed. So it took years before I felt comfortable knowing I could do this.

RE: Say Anything

I watch it here when I can. I don't know why because I am not big into tv but I really like it wave

RE: Define love in one sentence

Love is a giftrose

RE: Have we been visited by an alien intelligence

Well that made me chuckle laugh I am not to sure the rest of the universe would like to put their own in this with us. I believe to any intelligent force we would look quite dangerous. blues

RE: Only 18% Of American Households....Are Families With Married Parents

The daily wire is a conservative run media. I decided to check the United States census which did not coincide with the wire. With that being said other than the misinformation I found the article quite interesting and food for thought. I agree where it says people are waiting till later in life to marry and also where it talked about more people are choosing to live alone. Neither one are bad things in my opinion. I do know that people do not stay married like the did years ago. And I also cannot fault that. A woman no longer has to stay with a man that beats the tar out of her. She has choices. And I am sure a fair amount just want out once they see being married is not always fun laugh

RE: What the first thing that comes to mind when you think about your mother?

The first thing I think of is an overwhelming feeling of love and missing her sad flower

RE: Do boring messages warrant an answer?

If it is a friend or someone I know I will tell them, "Woa way to long". I know I write long post and imagine most do not read them laugh If it is not someone you know. Don't give it another thought. I wouldn't and I wouldn't answer to be polite. dunno Don't feel guilty. You owe no one an answer to anything or an explanation unless it is something you want to give. wave
