RE: Does Freedom of Speech give you the right to interrupt public events like parades, movies, memorials

Why would I need to bone up on that? The question was does freedom of speech give you the right to interrupt public events like parades movies or memorials. I think I answer the question. Maybe you need to bone up on how to answer a question dunno

RE: Things to talk about besides politics and religion, and there are many!

Many of us have contacted them through out the years. Including one year a thread dedicated to make the american forums a whole and not separate states. To no avail. Even when they redid the layout they did not change that. It is either done for advertising or amusement. It is sad because the United States forums are just a waste of space. They rarely get used as is.

RE: Things to talk about besides politics and religion, and there are many!

Yes actually it does to me also?

RE: Would you be happier being single? Or being with someone?

I have never really thought of things like that. On what I prefer. I prefer to be happy. If life seems fit to give me someone to share my happiness with then I am all for it. If not then I still want to be happy. So happiness is the main thing I seek in life. wave

RE: Does Freedom of Speech give you the right to interrupt public events like parades, movies, memorials

In our first amendment they talk about " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances". When you ask to interrupt public events that does not sound peaceful to me? To do so outside is one thing. To go into is a show of force. Just my opinion. There is a right way to do things. You do not have to come in with a show of force and interrupt any public event. If we allow this what is next? Going into our childrens schools? Going into our movie theaters? Going into a persons home? There does have to be boundaries. And your right to express yourself ends when you take anothers rights away. Be respectful. It is that simple. dunno

RE: Does Freedom of Speech give you the right to interrupt public events like parades, movies, memorials

That is how I see it.

RE: Woman on the train

I know for me half the time, ok maybe more than half the time , I have a lot on my mind. My brain is not where my body is. I see a human form kinda shadowy. I don't focus on what they look like. I will plop down where ever I feel like sitting. dunno so maybe you are reading to much into someone sitting down. I did that the other night at a lecture. And my friend I was with cleared her throat loudly and I looked up. She arched her eyebrow questioningly and I looked where she was looking and there was quite a handsome man sitting by me. So I did dunno at her. I would of not noticed for I wasn't paying attention to whom was sitting in that chair. Actually I am kinda glad I didn't sit on him by mistake blues So maybe she just wanted to sit down. hug

I'm gonna be single forever aren't I moping

RE: I Am Getting MARRIED!

Hi! wave Congrats to you two honey mooners. You both look lovely in your pictures.
I use the himalayan pink salt and it is awesome. I have several of the lamps and a candle holder. Been using them for a few years now. The lamps make lovely mood lighting or night lights also. Then I have a few larger ones that are quite bright.
Now back to the salt. I don't care for regular salt. Never have. But I have found with the pink salt a little goes a long way and it adds a good flavor. So if anyone is going to try I suggest starting with a little and adding till you find your tastes happy spot.
Good to see you HL

RE: New member wants advice

I have thru out my time here sent small gifts to friends on here and tho not costly, to mail the package can be. professor But worth every penny. It was to people whom I had gotten to know. And they did not ask for the gift I wanted to send it to them. And I got A gift back also! I would not send anything and most likely would not even read anymore contact from the person if they had asked or suggested within the first couple of emails. That is just me. I would be suspicious dunno
With that being said I want to add in life never give more than you can afford to lose. And don't expect nothing for giving. That is what makes it a real gift.

Could there be any threats sending mail or parcels. Yes there are. People have been known to get injured opening what could appear to be harmless packages. To the point of death. Also people have ended up in jail for participating in crimes they did not even know they were participating in. Why would someone do something like that you ask? Because it is the world we live in today. Not everyone is nice. And they don't have to have a reason to be mean. We don't have to live in constant fear but it doesn't hurt to be smart when dealing with strangers. Hope all goes well for you and you get a wonderful trinklet in the end. rose

RE: East Coast Blizzard

Haven't seen snow in decades. Don't like to travel in winter time. I cry when it gets below 76F and todays high here is 71 and low 50 so I am not in my comfort zone. This is south Florida in a couple of days be close to 80 again. It is so kind of you to think of the birds. I feed the wild critters here when their food source is scarce. Try and stay warm cold
