Selfishness is subjective, sometimes. For example, I dont want, or didnt want, to take on young children because Im farrrrrr to old for that. Thats not selfish for me; thats sensible, because I know it wouldnt make me or my partner happy.
Alot, an awful lot, say in these forms, and in life, that they dont care what people think. Seen it alot on here. So, are they selfish??
Id say its because they want the same as we do, Willow - they want love and longterm alot of the time, but are scared of getting hurt, so play it slowly and go for friends/dating initially. Think its sensible, personally. All the best relationships are built on friendship first..
I would say that marriage is not necessary for the contented upbringing of a child, especially if the parents are not in love and dont really want to be together.
Obviously, they should have taken better contraceptive precautions, but as long as the child is safe and happy, thats the most important thing; whether it is brought up by one or both parents..
