RE: Don't do it

Great uTube movie Phoenix my lad! Very interesting indeed. I watched about 1/4 of it, ran out of time, but will continue the rest later ........ and sent it on to some interesting... ahem..... friends .....

RE: I really need advice,....

Ahhh ha! Josi ....dont worry about it. Seriously.

It takes about 18 months to renew your South African passport if you live in another country. I know, cause I had to renew mine.

The Department of Home Affairs in SA is in a total and utter mess! I know. Cause I tried contacting them when I was citizenless here last year - expired SA passport and expired Swiss visa (which could not be renewed without a current passport).

The Embassy staff in Berne were very helpful. VERY! Fortunately the staff in european countries are more intelligent than the staff in South Africa - they actually have functioning brains.

Just contact your local SA embassy in Spain about it. Get the name of the person you talk to, and keep contact until it`s sorted out.

You can also get a temporary passport - it cost a little bit more, but is valid for a short time while you wait for your real passport, and you can travel on it, and return to Spain if you have a current visa for there.

RE: Thought Provoking Questions

grin I`d still be waiting to be grown-up and know everything!

RE: Don't do it

Well, Mr Vitamin C is not the only one who asks this question. Out of politeness I`ve refrained from asking the same question....... only out of politeness, for I am a very polite person, normally.

Of course, your threads are never mindless. There must be a mind behind them, of course, with fingers attached at the end of arms that are connected to that mind - it`s what is inbetween the connections that sometimes becomes a bit worrying. If you catch my drift here? drinking

Now ... back to the question. What you been smoking lately?

RE: Cuspys words that Rhyme

....ring, bring, binge, king, ring.....ding ... you guys make me dizzy just reading this thread!

When you gonna get off the ground here....?drinking

RE: my online love

You can fall in love online. When you meet person to person is another story ......... you could possibly then realy fall in love, or not. It all depends. Some people fall in love instantly when meeting ... and fall out again a few months later. It all depends....drinking grin

Oh that icon reminds me ..... some men fall in love with strangers in a pub after eleven beers ...... and some just fall down.

RE: Women's Day

This is like having International "white" or "black" days ...... gives people a chance to steam off about all their gripes...?

Is there such a thing as International Mens Day?

Women will be paid the same as men when they are able to do mens work, I think? A girl on a building site is not expected to carry buckets of concrete or heft steel scaffolding into place, or to shimmy up onto a roof carrying roofing tiles.

In offices, women are good at their workloads, but ....... not too practical with working out formulas and/or priorities of importance - they are rather prone to "hysteria" and personalising problems.

RE: God

Hoi Phoenix, you old devil! I lurve God threads! Thankshug

Ja, I also admit that Guy-in-the-sky has a huge wicked-sort-of sense of humour!... in a real God-way that makes our own look real puny in comparisongrin

RE: Songs for your mood.............

I love this song ....... and the music .....and the words of the song ......grin

RE: I love it when?

Even better to find a well stocked cellar full of good red wines!wine

RE: Thought Provoking Questions

I take it you mean someone who believes what they read?... or see thru other media like TV, radio?

I don`t think that is what the lady is asking. She`s asking a question of this age thing, which we all know, lives in our heads.

Me, I`ve always been about 22. I just have a problem - now - convincing the body about that .....hahahaaaaagrin But I reckon this super machine I travel around in is about due to pack up after all these years of supporting me and then I`ll be free to travel to somewhere else. I would be very dissapointed if there`s no more travelling and I just go into a dark limbo of nothingness!

Anyways, age is now changed ........ People are no longer worn out by 40, and decrepit by 50. Fifty year olds now still dance in discos and climb mountains. Thirty is considered the old 20`s. And so on and so forth.

RE: WTF do you do when you love someone to bits but they are scared to commit ?

grin rolling on the floor laughing ................Well, I guess he can try that approach .... it MAY work .... or it may not .... Either way he`s got nothing to lose, has he?

RE: hi

First of all Ideno, welcome to CScswelcome

The reason a woman does`nt usually tell a guy she likes him is because he has got to chase her ....... like the old fashioned Hunters ... hahahaaaa .....It`s in-built in women, in all females, human and animal .. that the male must "prove" himself first!

No matter how modern we may be, and unaware of pheremones and such-like, it is still all there, and is part of the mating process.

RE: wave

And it`s all in that old fashioned old book ... that no-one believes in anymore! (I daren`t say its name because then a whole bunch of people will get upset and start a war with me)

Did you know that long before the Portuguese set out to sail the seas - when they still believed the earth was flat ........ that it was described over 2000 years ago ..... that the earth is an orb floating in the sky and spinning around the sun? And only about 600 years ago people STILL believed the earth was flat!

Some folk just never read the right books! Or they don`t believe a good book when they do read it.grin

RE: I am about to get some money!

I`m stil waaaaaaiiiiting!drinking yawn

RE: wave

Astral Travelling is when the spirit leaves the body and travels around freely, returning to the body. Most advanced Yogis do this, it takes a lot of meditation and preperation, and can be dangerous - if foolishly indulged in. There are other dimensions one could enter into, and not find the way back.

Interesting huh? A relative of mine used to do that ....... and was forever after haunted by "things" ... it can make you crazy unless you are an extremely experieced and fit spiritual being.

RE: wave

Well,, Wow Factor .... as with most good things, there always are those who take advantage of it, and twist things around. Yeah, the "Prosperity Cult" in some churches has taken from the people and told them to think positive to receive more than they gave. That, in my opinion, is evil.

What we NEED is very different from what we WANT. We do not need to win the lottery...... we want happiness/health/contentment. When we get greedy we destroy ourselves. Why do we need TWO coats when we already have ONE? .. and so lucky that we do own a coat to keep warm? Do we really need another one? A more expensive one?

Do we NEEd to eat in a high class restaurant? ... or we just need food because we are hungry?

There is also a difference with how we voice our needs. When we "ask" .... or "want" ... we will be forever asking and wanting. We need to believe we already have what we need, and it is provided. And we need to be specific about our needs. And positive.

Smoky, I do apologise that I am the chosen one, however, you made me feel so guilty that I have responded to the email address and advised Ms Legarde that you should be included,no doubt she will contact you and then you can share in the riches,

Ah gee, thanks Chrisys! I wait with bated breath!drinking

RE: wave

Don`t know about "cosmic ordering" ...... to me it`s just part of the "I am" philosophy - Biblical.

When people say negative things about themselves they create that energy around themselves ... so negative or positive ..... we create it for ourselves. We do not Order things, but we attract what we are seeking when we ask for it.

Like saying "I`m so stupid", or "unlucky", or whatever ..... then that is what we are. And that is how we are perceived.

As an example: An acquintance of mine began to hate her job and kept saying she wished she`d get fired, so she could claim unemployment ....... and was surprised when she got fired. But she did get her unemployment money ....... till it ran out ....... and because it is her habit she then proceeded to say how unlucky she was and she would NEVER find a "decent" job ...... and three years later she still has never found a "decent" job. Just one small example.

On my Biblical theme ...... "How you think and speak is what you are". What comes out of your mouth defiles you, not what you put into your mouth - that feeds your body. What comes out of your mouth is what feeds your soul. And we are souls inhabiting a body.

I just love my own interpretations!

grin ... simply because they work for me!

RE: wave

Yes, I am engaged in that worthwhile exercise, and I do know the power of positive thinking and action, and that it does invade one`s life!

The more one practices this, the more one becomes aware of how negative SO many people are! And then they get surprised when what they say comes true!grin

RE: I am about to get some money!

DANG! Where`s MY money invitation? Howcome you get this and I don`t? Not fair!

I wait, in anxious trepidation, that I have not been overlooked.

Except, I`m not sharing any of my bounty with anyone. I`m gonna spend it all on myself!

Maybe I`ll even go for a nice holiday in Nigeria, visit some places of initerest there? And get to meet Ms Christine Lagarde of the IMF?

RE: How can u handle a man with kids?

I`ve had two sets of step-children. The first batch were 9 and 12 years old, and the 2nd batch were twins of 21.

All I can say is that when it comes to dealing with your partners children, you just have to super-impose your own child over them and pretend to yourself that you are dealing with your own child - and then you have more patience, and actually some feelings of love towards them.

My now grown-up first batch ..... (well the youngest died when he was 29) but both of them sort-of loved me, and the oldest still says I was the best step-mom she ever had - hahahaaaa!

About "coming second" - well, where there are children involved, your, theirs, or both of yours, the children will always come first, when it is reasonable. To always put the children first is to just spoil and ruin them - so your partner needs to have a fairly level head about the situation, and not do more things out of a guilty conscience towards them - to be able to still treat the children as though the entire family is still "normal" - for example, as though they are joint children and nothing more special just because their parents are divorced.

Or if you have to drive - then don`t drink any alcohol .... or have ONE and keep topping it up with soda or water ........ It`s just a habit, to have something in a glass to sip, and you may act as stupid as you like because everyone else will just think you`re drunk........

Cheers for nowdrinking
