My singing Chef .......

grin Ja, probably!

Nein .... they expected him to be more "hungry" for the big prize, it seems?

He`s just an ordinary guy, doing bricklaying, and making music and singing in his spare time because he really loves singing and is good at it.

But after the show, the local tabloid newspaper phoned him for an interview, and to everyone`s horror, the next day they posted a horrible sounding article twisting everything he had said, making it out like he had "sour grapes" ... and nasty comments about the jury!

We were with him when they phoned, and heard what he said, which was nothing like what they reported!

But, I think ... and I KNOW these things .. they picked on him to make a "sensation" because he is not a monied person who could afford to sue them.

Anyways .. he is going ahead and putting together songs of his to make a CD. After the show, he worked on his latest and its going to be a hit!...... something about being Arbeitsloss (Unemployed).....grin

RE: i think Gaddafi isnt wrong when he say Al queda.

RIGHT ON! ...thumbs up

Yeah, I agree with you!

The United Nations should get off its bum and do the job it is supposed to do ... Unite the Nations.

Take out the useless leaders when their people begin to protest and get killed for protesting because they are unemployed and hungry and their leader sits in the lap of luxury!

Then, maybe, those "leaders" will THINK about their people who depend on them for leadership ... or else risk being imprisoned in a God-Awful Dungeon for the rest of their lives.

RE: Fight Club....Ok, ok, book club

Audio books! That sounds interesting!

Maybe its about time I moved to that Dimension! hahahaaa ... my eyes water and burn because I read SO much! Costs me a fortune in new reading glasses every year!......

I been reading an interesting book on how to improve one`s eyesight ...... an idea some guy came up with in the 1920`s ...and Oculists HATE him and his ideas ... cause it means less money in their pockets? ...hahaaaa...grin Whenever I remember his instructions I try out the excercises, and they really do help.

Aldous Huxley wrote it .. the same author of other controversial books.....drinking (it`s that time of the evening for a Whisky)

RE: Fight Club....Ok, ok, book club

Hi Immanuelle,

Nice interesting thread!thumbs up

I been reading, and "editing" a book..! Ja ME!rolling on the floor laughing

It`s to be published online, first, then available on "Kibble" or whatever that new fangled electronic book downloading device is called.

I tried to find the "teaser" of it ... but it eludes me at the moment ... As soon as I do find it wherever the author has published it, I`ll put it on here ... to TEASE up the readers!grin

Interesting reading, even though I had to read it thru THREE times! ..... about an ordinary young man who enters another dimension ..... and all the havoc this creates ... that us lesser mortals are unaware of ... going on around us every day.......drinking

RE: Older men with a young woman !!

Ahh interesting thread, and reading.

Old men, older men ... more than 20/30/40 years older than their Asian wives/girlfriends, get laughed at, behind their back. They have a "bought" woman....... end of story ... that is how it is looked at.

Okay, so there are some exceptions, but they also usually end up like the end of this story of mine.

Everyone knows that the girls from Thailand and other Asian countries long to get out and go live, with money, auto, posh apartment, etc, in european countries.

We have stacks of them here in my little corner of the world. She lives here for 5 years, just long enough to speak the language fluently, get full citizenship and passport ...then she gets a job, then she divorces the man and gets half his pension, and half of everything else.

In the meantime, near the end of the happy relationship she begins to go out alone, to meet, dine, and party with her other asian buddies, leaving him alone at home to look after the baby/toddler/kid/plural or whatever they produced.

She knows her future is secure once she has lived with the guy. More secure than it would have been in her homeland.

He had his ounce of "fresh young flesh" ... then he spends the rest of his life paying for it.

Maybe it was worth it....?drinking

My singing Chef .......

Well darls, just to tell you the latest on Garry ..... He was on the live half-finals this last Sunday night!

It was a phone-in vote ..... and he came 3rd/4th ....3rd position decided by the Jury of 3 ... and he lost!

Aaahhh well ... at least.... on the train home last night everyxone wanted to sit by him ... and today, while walking around Schaffhausen .. he got recognised by stacks of folk .... workmen driving their trucks stopped to shout that they had voted for him .... a little old lady came up to shake hands with him ... teenage girls followed him, giggling and asking if it really was HIM last night..?grin

I hope he tries again next year ... after this experience of the Big Stage and all those lights .. maybe next year he makes more of an impression on those stupid judges who dont seem to recognise REAL talent when it stares them in the face .......grin ....teddybear

RE: heavy fighting in libya too

And now, I see (read about) ... the old Gadaffi is employing the child soldiers who grew up fighting in the Congo and other African countries! These are psychologically damaged children grown into adults, who can now earn a daily wage of 2000 euro! ... to mow down any objectors to his rule?

One of the problems I am seeing in this move of his is that these "childre" are also addicted to alcohol and marijuana to keep their systems functioning (and their minds blank).

Does the world stand aside and allow this sort of stuff..?

Oh ...... America was supporting their wages while they grew up fighting, now they are all growed up and "adults" .... I bet America just stands back and allows them to murder for their wage master now?

RE: So Cute....... Kaitlyn Maher

Well, I agree with Tule ... She is really cute, lots of self-confidence ... but not really good singing....

RE: What music are you listening to on this fine night?

I actually cannot dance to any music.[/quote
Yes of
course you can! I just cant give you any music to swing to at the moment because my youngest son has decided I need all my music re-organised .. and now I dont have a clue how to download it to here!

RE: What music are you listening to on this fine night?

Dance! Dance!

You must be joking?!rolling on the floor laughing

You can actually DANCE to that music?rolling on the floor laughing

My singing Chef .......

Just to bump my favourite singer ...... The show will now be screened on Sunday nights LIVE.

My son and his wife are going to the live performance, and me, boyfriend, and grandkids will be watching from home.

I hope as many of you as is possible will be try and watch ...? ... and VOTE for GARRY?teddybear

A lot of Facebook comments have been that he resembles and sings a lot like the "man in black" ... whats his name? ......Johnny Cash!

If Garry can get past his nerves his singing will be sensational .. he is going to be singing "Unchained Melody" on Sunday.bouquet

RE: Facebook

Probably got deleted ... the mods saw the word "Facebook".....?

My singing Chef .......

Well ... the preliminaries are over .. and Garry made it thru to the half-finals, to be screened (live I think?) this coming Saturday night here.

He is going to be singing "Unchained Melody" ... without playing the piano this time .....so he can concentrate more on singing..wine

RE: what country is peaceful country? and why?

What gets to me is this attitude of "allowing" something.

Realy .. when you think about it ... WHO is the Pope?.. a Direct Descendent of God?...with his own personal Hotline to receive instructions..? Has he sat in the presence of God and chatted about what is and what is not allowed to the people?

That church does not allow its ministers to marry, so WHAT do they know about married life? ..... Surely you gotta experience something to know what you are talking and making judgements about...?

What would happen if couples wanting a divorce just go to another country and apply?

RE: what country is peaceful country? and why?

Maybe the problem is that there are no Lawyers in those countries....?grin .................drinking

RE: Our Member Danny just passed away.

sad flower

RE: what country is peaceful country? and why?

Yes. I am so sorry that I partake of the lowest form of wit, I just cannot resist it.

....................

Ja ... most of the country voted NO. dancing .. Long live The Swiss Traditional Way of Life!cheers And those who don`t like it can go live elsewhere.........drinking ... Like where only the criminals have the weapons, instead of law abiding tax paying citizens.

.....................

And I agree with the Maltese ... Malta is about the best little crazy country to live in!cheers

RE: arab reform

All I DO know about the Israeli/Palestinian thingy is that the Israelis took all the nice land that had the Palestinian water wells, and sort-of expected the Palestinians to go live in waterless arid land.......

RE: looking..............................How long????

Okay, so you are an "eligible" young man, in your opinion. That is good. Always good to have a good opinion about oneself.

The reason you are not finding a serious answer here is because ... well, it is an internet site ... "la-la-land" .....where people are as vast and as different as sand on a beach.

Do not get upset at flippant replies to your question.

Most European women are inclined to be money oriented .. they live in a consumer society of high standards. And expect prospective partners to be like minded, as was said above.

If you have been "fooled by fake love" and then they disappear .. that is because, maybe, you have made contact with what is known as Scammers ...... insincere liers who con people out of money - the only reason they are on these types of sites, and you have to be VERY careful who you trust.

You must read the Scam Warnings on this site, and obey them.

Also ... VERY IMPORTANT ..... if you really want to meet someone, then you have to be active on the Forum, so people can get to know you. You cannot just arrive and ask a question and expect an answer.

RE: what country is peaceful country? and why?

South Africa is really safe. No-one owns any guns there anymore, thanks to the Gun-Free initiative of a few years ago. Well, legally no-one owns a gun. People who get shot by guns are just a fantasy.

Switzerland is next on the list..... they want to abolish guns here too .....so crime will be just a fantasy .. like elsewhere.

I think, if you looking for a really really peaceful place to live, then go live in the Congo in Africa. No-one has guns there, and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying..... Why else is America not paying the soldiers or giving them guns there? .... its all just a big fantasy.

What was the question...? Safe countries..? ..or gun-free countries...? What is the actual difference?

RE: Sad news about Danny48

Aah .. so sad! I enjoyed his posts. And he was about the same age as me!

What is nice about being old .... we know our time is almost up .. and we enjoy life as it should be enjoyed.

Well .. Danny`s time was up ... and he has gone on to an elevated system ... or whatever it`s called.teddybear

RE: Best soundtrack ever?

Well ... anything by Roy Orbison is great .. and "The Rivers of Babylon" is at least something to dance to!

My singing Chef .......

Hi Carenza, I dont know what his next song is .. he is keeping it a secret surprise...

The local newspaper did a little article on him, interviewed him in his flat last week, just before the show, on the same day I think...? ...... They arrived to photo him as he was eating out of a tin of Ravioli!

He is an orphan, he was given away when he was a baby. Grew up in an orphanage, no one wanted to adopt him (I dont blame them! hahaaaaa)

And so ... we are his "family". He calls me his "Mom" (He is SO lucky I am not his Real Mom! hahaaaa) He comes here on weekends, and sleeps in the lounge on the couch.

RE: Best soundtrack ever?

grin The theme music from the movie "Jaws" ... it conjures up the image of a great white shark swimming around under where you are swimming ... eyeing your legs ... your torso ......devil grin

RE: Best soundtrack ever?

thumbs up ja, all great pieces of music!

RE: Best soundtrack ever?

JAWS ......drinking

RE: GPS

Ja, I do know that. They even speak any language you want them to speak ... lovely .. and you can choose the voice type too! Personally, I like a deep well modulated male voice, with no signs of panic in it ...hahahaaa .... just an encouraging voice that tells me, in well modulated tones, to keep following the arrow for the next 7,542 kms and when I find myself at the ocean to turn around and retrace the route, and then finds me a nice cosy smoking pub that serves cold beer ...........drinking

My singing Chef .......

Phoenic you are a real darling .. but ... I think you are just TOO DARN Clever and intelligent for us lesser mortals ... to follow that long story!

But thank you for your time and efforts ... now go make a smoke and have a big Joe.....teddybear

My singing Chef .......

Thanks Carenza .... hahaaaa .. he was VERY nervous! He made a mistake on the piano ... and actually didn`t finish the song!

DJ Bobo .. the guy on the left .. he said Garry was too casual ...and gave him a NO ... but ... he didn`t press the big X, which is a good hopeful sign?

Ja, he is thru to the next round of finals .. and he sings a different song, but does not play the piano. They said it was too much, to concentrate on singing AND play .... or he said that, I forget which.

RE: GPS

I love GPS`s!

Especially other peoples GPS`s ..... more interesting to look at than anything else...... follow the arrow ...... "HEY you missed the turnoff thingy with the arrow!" .... then follow the next directions.

Only problem I would have driving is watching the GPS AND the road.....drinking

Now, all I`m waiting for is a car that just follows the GPS instructions, and I can read my book.
