But ...... if you inhale smoke, you got to then make your lungs do some work to clean themselves out, every day.

Well, I like to believe what some research doctors say .. and I have read/heard that the human body normaly produces cancer and other damaged cells daily ...... and in a normal healthy state, with good nutrition, it also expells these damaged cells.

That it is only with under-nutrition that the body becomes incapable of self-cleaning itself.

Of course, taking immune suppressing drugs also inhibits this ability of expelling the damaged cells, as the body no longer recognises them..... the same for anti-biotics in the blood stream.

But all that is Hum-Bug as we all know that it is ONLY cigarette smoke that causes cancer!

You obviously do not follow international politics, so rather say nothing, and remain placid, and let us assume you are the same intelligent person who makes other highly amusing and sometimes intelligent remarks.

It is highly dangerous to stand near a person who smokes, as the fumes in their clothing and hair can cause cancer to innocent non-smokers.

The same can be said for motorised transport ... you dont have to drive, you can be hit and injured or killed by an auto ....!

You can imbibe food prepared with chemicals in it and your body will automatically expell any toxins, leaving you in excellent physical health.

You actually don`t even have to do any excercise, just stroll to your auto, drive to wherever you want to go .. and then sit in a comfortable chair all day, then go home, watch TV, and go to bed.

The body is an automatic machine. Just keep it away from cigarette smoke! .. and you will live a long and healthy life.

Outside of the big cities, are all little towns and hamlets ..... and the restaurants are mainly Olde Worlde Traditional ones .... 100`s of years old, low beamed ceilings, and a "special" table called the "Stammtisch" ..... around which sit all the regulars, to play cards, chat, drink beer/wine, and smoke......

When Grandfather dies then his oldest son inherits "his" chair at the Stammtisch ......and so on, thru the generations.....

Farmers pull up at their favourite restaurant, park their tractors with trailer of grapes, or whatever harvest they have, and come in for a drink, smoke, and chat with their buddies .....

Now .... they don`t go there anymore.

Now .. the "restaurant" (they are not regular restaurants, more of a pub, where you can also get something to eat .. maybe just sausages and bread) ... well, lack of customers means they close down.

And the traditional way of life is no longer available.

Oh, maybe a "new tradition" is being started? ....... they buy a crate of beers, take it home ... and drink and smoke alone, or with a few buddies.....

But .. sure as hell ... the Non-Smokers are not patronising the places that have been designed for them. Only in the cities, with regular Eatery restaurants ...... specialist Eating Shops(?) does this law not affect the restarateurs.

The opening post was referring to a shop in Germany, which is part of the EU, and to inform those who do not know, about what is in the near future, irrespective of what view they support. Ignorance and apathy of politics is the forerunner of chaos, and decisions made on their behalf, irrespective of the wishes of the public, which is opposite to what a Democracy is supposed to mean.

No point in mentioning what happens in countries outside of the EU ......Switzerland is an independent country.

THAT is what be-fuddles the brain here ..... that something that is perfectly legal, in growing and selling and using, can be banned from certain businesses who`s livelihood consists of catering to these very same people.

My wish is that ...... all the restaurant owners whose businesses have been destroyed ... all sit at home and enjoy Social Help. Let the tax money, from the tobacco industry, pay their stippends.

There is absolutely nothing preventing non-smokers from having their own smoke-free restaurants, but at least let us have some options about how we choose to spend our leisure time.

Ah, there is a person, trying to do just that, in America. She survived cancer .... doing it the Intelligent way, on her own.

They actually want to "ban" a well-known healing plant ... commonly known as Comfrey, the old fashioned name was "Knit-Bone",officially known as "Sympathetica Officianalis" ...... well known for restoring/encouraging healthy cell growth .... (Sympathetic to ALL physical ailments).

Hahaaaaa.... how the hell they gonna do THAT is beyond me!..this plant, once it is growing, is impossible to get rid of!...it sends it roots down about 2m and grows again from the smallest little piece of root left in the soil..hahaaaaa... I`m still trying to get it out of the lawn where there used to be a vegetable bed........

It makes a snail proof barrier around where its planted -hence why I did that!
