Ja. Glad to see someone else felt the same way. Pretty sicko huh? Sounds like a case of Verbal Diahrea and he spilt his guts...... with ..... (ha, now I know what this emoticon is for!)
Yes, true ... take no notice of me - I always try and corrupt good people.
I am off to go try and beat my score on Halloween Pumpkins, even though the game is cheating on me now .... I`m supposed to improve with playing it ... not deteriorate!
And then to bed.... Cheers folks, goodnight, sleep well.
Now .. if the man would have let me have his birthdate and year of birth I could have written out his Zodiac astrology thingy and we could all have known everything about him, without bothering the poor chap!.. and getting himself into a huff over nothing!
Juslaaik, I used to plaguerise authors until I learned not to, and to respect writings I did not invent ...... if I took a sulk when I was caught out and wrapped over the knuckles, lucky it never got as far as my bank account ...... I`d still be sitting in the toilet crying ......
Ja, glasses are too small. I always imagined mixing a big jug of the stuff and taking it with me outside ... much easier! Actually that is an excellent idea, going to try it this weekend!
Nein, you look the same. We need a new photo of you, in your tent, in the rain!
Nice sounding trip! Sounds more interesting than my 9 hours in Athens airport (I forgot to check the return connection flight wait)
Are the wild birds the ones with or without feathers? Make a big difference.
Yes, we have missed you.... Charlie boy.......characters are always missed!
Anyways, enjoy your stay there, have fun, store up lots of memories.
How about writing some Blogs on this site?..... daily journal type entries about what you get up to ....? Much easier than writing on threads, and then later, when you`re back, you can just delete them if you want to......
Only ONE person loses out darl ..... and it aint any of us.
One thing seriously ..... people are astute, they are NOT fools, and you cannot fool them. That is something, if you stick around long enough, you will find out. The folk here are Communicators, and they quick to suss out if you not communicating honestly.
But, all strength to you, and may your toenails never stop growing! (old greek saying thing)
Who wants a gift if it gives you wrinkles....? ..and makes hair grow where hair is not supposed to grow ... and no hair where hair is supposed to be ...... and funny shaped toe-nails ..... and changes the shape of your face ...... And you supposed to go shop in shops where teenagers dont shop...?.... all because you been here a long time? Nah, that^s not a gift.
But, maybe it is, and we just gotta figure out what part of it is the gift? .. Oh yes.... patience, and being able to talk to kids and to actually listen to what they say, without being too busy not to hear what they saying....... And to appreciate things like bugs in a glass, the importance of their clothing, and not allowing them such close-ups of one`s wrinkled face and not pinching their cheeks and saying "Oh my you are SO cute!" (They HATE THAT!)
My brother didn`t live to old age, he died when he was 54.
My one nephew also didn`t live to old age, he was shot in the head, executioner style, with his hands tied behind his back,at the side of the road, during the night, when he was 21 ..... his wedding was to take place the following Saturday.
His mother also did not reach old age, she died of a heart attack shortly after his death...I think she was in her early 50`s... it broke up her marriage and scattered her family.
I had a little nephew who died when he was two years old, he choked on his vomit, quietly, sitting in a rocking chair in the farmhouse kitchen.
Is it a priviledge to live to "old age"? ... I think it`a miracle, in this day and age ......
For me, old age is when I hit 70 ... only 7 years to go! I guess I will be forced to finally wear a one-piece bathing costume? .. and give up dancing on the barcounter..?
Oh that is nice! Last time I had a Martini .. a real one ... was in SA 5 years ago. Only trouble with them is you cant walk around with the glass - it all spills out!
How do you make yours Mariola? .... Sugar on the rim? or is the dry one with salt? Gin? crushed ice? Olive? lemon skin? .....
I got the glasses, but I never got ALL the ingredients .. Whisky is SO much easier..... Plus crushing ice messes up the machine and then I got to clean it.....
Hoi Phoenix, be very careful dealing with guys from the Congo ....... Well of course he refused! He knows how you scammers work ... you get all his info and then raid his bank account!
Ja, one thing you cannot do on the internet .. is to plaguerise other authors works. Too many people know too much, have travelled, read, interacted ... and also ..... there are also many professionally qualified folk here who don`t laud their qualifications!
Oh Phoenix, I forgot to mention, ..... this is a Tropical Island .... and there are masses, simply masses of You-Know-What growing there! .. must have been from seeds dropped by sailors from years gone by who got ship-wrecked there.....?
Now, unless I am totally mis-reading what has been actually written here ..... I think certain folk should re-read what they write before hitting the "post reply" button ......?
If THOSE were "happy days" ..... fooling around with cadavers .........? and I`m not talking about disection either ....... just what your posting is implying ..... I think it`s time to become a bit more discretionery about whom one chooses to reply to!
Yesterday was that temp here! ... and I made cheese and onion bread .... but cooked it in the convection oven thingy ... trying to keep the kitchen not so hot ..... but whew ..... it was HOT anyway!
Seems our heatwave is over .... cooling down a bit now ....
Now that is more like it! That is why I am on this Earth planet ..... to bring wonderful and bright futures to you all ....... and peace.... and Hark The Herald Angels Sing .. and Joy To the World .... and ....anything that Willie Nelson sings is also okay.....
Well, anyway, it looks like we got two guys and two girls on the island ...... although Phoenix has been awfully quiet about being hi-jacked by GM ....... I think he may be apoplectic and still trying to catch his breath ........?
I will be there ..... but on the other side .....just keeping on eye on goings on........
Oh and here was me thinking you meant I should go and conk myself on the head with the hammer........ and you meant destroy the mirror! Okay, I going to destroy the mirror, and live rather with my illusions of youth and beauty! No more looking at myself in plate glass windows in town either!
continued (hope I get the sequence correct! had to halve it twice!)
They are more conscientious than lots of other folks. And thgey are sensitive in the extreme. Couple this sensitivity with a native tendency to jealousy and possessiveness and you come up with a mighty testy character. You may see the Taurean Dog as inexcusably self-involved. But dont think for one minute that he perceives himself as anything less than Albert Schweitzer - caring, loving, giving, warmhearted, kind, indulgent.
They do take up causes and care a lot about the little guy. They are liberal-hearted and willing to go far to help out the less fortunate. This person can persevere in what seems to be hopeless situations. His loving and caring capacity is very, very strong.
Usually, these people are generous and willing literally to give you the shirt of their backs. They are sweet-natured underneath al that ill-tempered blather and dither. Taurus Dogs are the kind of dogs who growl a lot when they first meet you and who, before you know it, have jumped into your lap and are licking your face all over. They need encouragement and plenty of applause.
......................... Did it! Next installment ... LOVE....
Ahhh .. just cause you SO cute Kid, I`m gonna write these reams of things about you ..... TAURUS DOG! ARDOR DETERMINATION INDUSTRY PATIENCE LOGIC SENSUALITY
(Oh, the metal in your sign means "I worry".... and the Earth in your sign means "I have")
Here is a dutiful combinatrion of gifted for performances of all kinds and cursed by a surfeit of uneasiness, which easilty translates into dissatisfaction. Taurens born in Dog years tend to complain a lot. They find fault with much of what life offers. As for what life doesnt offer - they feel it should have. They have an overdeveloped sense of injustice. They cannot understand why it seems as if the cards are always stacked against them. Why are othrs so lucky? Why do things seem to just fall into their laps? Why dont wonderful lucky things happen to ME?
Childlike appeal and apparent innocence of all that is tawdry and crooked make the Taurean Dog a lovable and dear companion. He`s intgerested in and capable of many different pursuits. He usually has a talent for amusing crowds and is willing and able to take on great responsibiliteis. Despite his inborn talent for determinatin and respectability, for industry and even heroism, he suffers froma painful lack of self-confidence. He is never, from childhood forward, quite sure of himself. Often, because of this insecurity, the Taurus Dog settles for remaining in the wings of life for the whole of his childhood and adolescence. Then, by the time he is old enough to answer his cue and leap onto center stage, he may not feel quite ready yet. He`ll hang back, find excuses for delaying his one-man show and if he is not careful to find the right üpartner who pushes and prods and loves and cares enough to shove him out there, he may find himself at retirement age standing hangdog in the same wings of life wondering whatever happened to his cue.
This person is anatural-born worrywart. He`s also extremely perfection-oriented and wants things to be done right and to go well and to come out flawless. If they dont, he will be the first to blame not only himself but also to scold those who surround him. "Why dont you take things more seriously?" wonders Taurus Dog to his lighthearted friend or mate or child ......"Why cant you see how important this is?".....
He knows that some people might have cheated or tricked to get places in life. But not trhe Taurean Dog. Never! Taurean Dogs are the first to consider themselves "good" people who always do things "rigfht". Struggle and huff and puff and bark and growl and sweat. Then when they do win fame or fortune or the approval of their entourage, they opine "I deserve this. I work harder than anybody else and its about time somebody recognised my enormous talent."
You see, life really is not easy for Taurus Dogs. Because of their own reticent attitude, they often are left out, overworked, and misunderstood.
Because then I would be depriving all who love me, my incredible personality, devastating good looks, charming manners, etc etc .... of the company they so enjoy.
However, if you pop into any hardware store you will find a vast array of comfortable hammers with which to inflict a kindness on those who have had to endure close encounters with yourself.
Now ...If you find the cost of the above said instrument too much to bare ....... may the road rise up and meet the wheelies of your camper .... Or the axles descend to meet the mudslide ..... Or the ignition not fail to connect with the gas tank....
RE: Whats this 'Thing' GOD...
Dear man Phoenix ..... YOU are a figment of his imagination......
