I worked for several years with special needs kids as a T.A. I also helped my BF found and build a not for profit literacy council. We focussed on learning disabilities.
The point is, a disability is something that no-one wishes for or has control over. However, ones approach and attitude makes all the difference to quality of life.
The question was about friendships and disabilities. I choose friends that are happy, well balanced people. If someone is a bitterball, thats not someone I would form a friendship with disabled or not.
