RE: Saying you're not interested nicely

Several messages a day and you never responded?

Are these personal messages to you or do they look like form letters?

I would not worry about hurting his feelings, is he worried about harassing you by sending several a day after hearing no response?

It's obvious you have to explain that you are not interested, give whatever reason makes you feel comfortable. Then BLOCK HIM!

How can you hurt someone's feelings, you never met him and any "feelings" are really just his EGO at this point. You may hurt his ego.

RE: Which of you ladies would go out with me?

For one, you say you have "found her"

You are not legally single.

You are too far away.

To name only the reasons I can see from this point.

RE: Birthdays, Anniversaries, and other important stuff... Why I forget them...

Yes there are some people, (usually men) who forget the dates that are important to their loved one.

I think the fair thing to do is remind them when the day is coming.

I'm not one to play the game of getting pissed off on that special day because they forgot.

If these reminders don't help the guy remember, then I would have to believe they don't care enough and I'd probably be hurt enough to end the relationship before it progressed.

RE: What are the little things that aggravate you?

Well maybe they are driving slow because they are busy talking on the phone, looking for a CD and/or putting on makeup and yes I have seen men shave (electric) while driving. The shaving guy I used to date and it really didn't seem to affect his driving.

Don't forget eating while driving.

Don't forget how dirty purses are too.

RE: Tony Blair: This was brought to my attention and I want to share it

Yes of course the American soldier, sailor, marine and air force, they all risk their lives. Many return as "injured" but the extent of their injuries isn't really talked about often enough.

Some are alive but burned beyond recognition, missing arms, legs, ears, their lives are ruined and in this war in Iraq I ask FOR WHO? Who are they dying for in this war?

RE: Do we exchange REAL Christmas cards here? Anyone interested?

Yes, I googled this too:

Nutre-Hogar is non-governmental, non-profit organization. It was founded in July 1988 by Monsignor Romulo Emiliani together with a group of committed lay persons and with the support from other sectors of Panamanian civil society.

Since its early days, the Association's prime objective has been to help in the assistance, recovery and prevention of child malnutrition among Panamanian children. Nutre-Hogar's principal objective is to save the lives of children from marginal areas who suffer from severe malnutrition. Nutre-Hogar provides them with an adequate nutrition and the necessary medical care so that they are able to recover and lead a normal life within their environment.

Nutrehogar also provides orientation to malnourished children's parents on nutrition issues, and if needed, provides them with complementary food once the child leaves the nutritional centers.
Additionally, Nutre-Hogar supports national preventive efforts in nutrition, through education on adequate nutrition and by providing complementary food to pre-school and school age children when necessary.

RE: Is it only me that this happens to???

Curiosity got the best of me again and I had to google aspie:

"If you are told to show up for a meeting in appropriate attire and you show up wearing a 6-year old sweatshirt turned inside-out and well-washed overalls and sandals, and you didn't remember to wash your hair or put on deodorant because you were up late reading about Egyptian hieroglyphics and you barely had time to get to the meeting....you might be an Aspie"

"If it takes you 5 minutes to explain where the mayonnaise is in the refrigerator.....you might be an Aspie"

"If you would rather eat broken glass than go to a sorority party....you might be an Aspie"

Also:

Asperger's syndrome is a pervasive developmental disorder, or autistic spectrum disorder, recognizable by the lack of social skills and the often highly intellectual, perseverative interests developed by those with Asperger's. For a person with Asperger's (an aspie), friendships, social banter, and romantic relationships can be difficult channels to navigate.

RE: The Principle of Psychiatric Confidentiality

I think there is a law that compels you to report such threats, maybe one for priests too.

As far as I know, the psychiatrist will tell the patient early on that if there is a violent threat to themselves or others, they will tell.

RE: Seeking? ...or Supplying...

I don't know if I'm doing either one, probably seeking but not crying out and since there is no demand, I guess I'm not supplying either !

RE: Upside down plane stamp.

An election official in Broward County, Florida, spotted the rare stamp while reviewing absentee ballots during the US midterm elections last Tuesday.

As a childhood stamp collector, John Rodstrom's eye was drawn to a group of old stamps stuck to one of the forms. At the centre of a small, red one was a drawing of a first world war bi-plane, but what excited him was that the plane was upside down - an "inverted Jenny" - one of America's most rare and valuable stamps. Only 100 were distributed, after a printing error in 1918.

RE: Upside down plane stamp.

Fort Lauderdale, FL (AHN) - A rare stamp worth as much as $200,000 is sealed inside a ballot box. The stamp was used to mail in an absentee ballot, but the ballot box cannot be opened by law.

There was no name on the envelope so the ballot did not count. A Broward County commissioner saw the stamp when he was reviewing absentee ballots.

The stamp is what is known as an "Inverted Jenny." Printed in 1918, they're worth 24-cents. At least four sheets of the stamp went through the printing presses the wrong way, creating the upside down plane. Only one sheet of the four made it into the public.

Election officials will keep the ballot for 22 months. The county elections supervisor decides what to do after that. Ballots and materials are usually destroyed when they're no longer needed.

Since the stamp was mailed, its value was reduced to between $20,000 to $100,000. Stamp collectors for years have tried to find all of the "Inverted Jennys"

I just googled "upside down plane stamp" and got hundreds of hits.professor

RE: Who's had any success with online dating.

Dating sites work as well as any other form of meeting people. I've met lots of people in person from several sites, this one included. Just haven't met the right one yet, but some really nice people out there.

Met a couple of women friends on here, very supportive and sweet.
