RE: illegal immigration

California -156 years ago!

Do you know what happened this week back in 1850, in California?

California became a state.
The State had no electricity.
The State had no money.
Almost everyone spoke Spanish.
There were gun fights in the streets.

So basically, it was just like California today
except the women had real breasts and
men didn't hold hands

RE: Creating Endless Threads From E-mails

How about creating endless threads about endless threads that never end?

RE: Creating Endless Threads From E-mails

Hey you didn't upset me at all. Some people are a little bit more important here than others, and feel that they are the only ones who should begin threads.

Go for it!

RE: illegal immigration

Read my past posts and you will see that I am not being harsh at all, rather I'm defending them. But as far as paying Social Security benefits to someone, anyone, who has not paid into the system, even I have to object to that.

RE: illegal immigration

THESE ARE THE SENATORS WHO VOTED TO GIVE ILLEGAL ALIENS SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS. REGARDLESS OF POLITICAL PARTY, THESE POLITICIANS NEED TO BE DEFEATED IN 2006, 2008 OR 2010 WHENEVER THEY COME UP FOR OFFICE.

RE: Men, how many children are "too many" in respects to dating?

That's funny and I agree with your mom.

I met one man in his late 40's who has two young ones, 7 & 10.
That is NOT the reason I stopped seeing him, the reason is his attitude toward his ex and trying to get me to side with his "dilemma" which I would not do.

Heavenly mothers-in-law...

RE: I've fallen on some very hard times

Really sorry to hear all of this. Do you have family there in Lima? I may be mistaken, but was it you who had to have your father taken to Cleveland for surgery? I live in NE Ohio and I remember someone from nearby would be here for a while during the surgery.

I hope things get better. It's hard to make suggestions for something like this.

RE: Ladies, What is your favorite cologne

AXE is good, but it reminds me of my son.

RE: Ladies, What is your favorite cologne

Nothing too strong, not overppowering.
Sometimes none is best.
Just don't skip the deodorant.

RE: Men, how many children are "too many" in respects to dating?

Since my youngest is 16, I'd prefer to date someone whose kids are in the same age group. I would consider a younger child, but just one. Anymore than one young child, would be too much for me. Grandkids would be ideal.

I also have found that men with more than one young child complain too much about the child support payments, visitation, etc. I sympathize with the visitation but I don't want the problems that come with negative issues of them dealing with their ex's.

There are exceptions to everything though.

RE: Do you believe that some people enter your life for a lifechanging reason??

Reason, Season and Lifetime

..

People always come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

..

When someone is in your life for a REASON,

it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty,

or to provide you with guidance and support,

to aid you physically, emotionally, or even spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend to you, and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

...

Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

...

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they just walk away.

Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

...

When people come into your life for a SEASON,

it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.

They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

And like Spring turns to Summer and Summer to Fall,

the season eventually ends.

...

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;

those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person/people (anyway);

and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas in your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being part of my life.

Friends listen to what you say.

Best friends listen to what you don't say.

RE: illegal immigration

Does a Canadian count? If so, yes.

RE: The one thing that everytime you think about it, you laugh out loud..what is it?

There was the time when my boy was sleeping in his crib. His aunt and I saw a big black bug looking thing on the carpet in his room and since we had been having a "waterbug" problem, we figured that is what it was.

We were freaking, the dog usually took care of those bugs but she was uninterested. I couldn't let it sit there, so when we got up close to get rid of it, we saw it was a half of a big black olive.

I guess the funny part is how scared we got of an olive.

RE: What's the difference between Roast Beef and Pea Soup?

Exactly what is it you want to know?

RE: Why do people do this....false logic.

RE: Prayer request-house fire

Positive thoughts can help.

RE: illegal immigration

The immigrants who are taking the jobs away from the U.S. citizens are well-education and LEGAL who have come here from other countries and will work for less money.

The immigrants who are ILLEGAL are doing the crap work that as I said, high school kids won't even do.

They illegals are not taking away any "good jobs" from U.S. citizens.

The legals are being brought here by such companies as Callaway Golf located in So. Calif. I worked briefly at an immigratino law office that did the paperwork for such legal immigrants, people with degrees. Yes, they are taking away the good jobs, but they are legal.
