if you see a blackbird - it means there are worms around somewhere! they like worms, they feed on them, presence of worms = high probability of blackbirds. no worms = no blackbirds. the other times you see blackbirds are when they are looking for worms, kind of like when we go looking for food we raid the fridge, move to the treat drawer or scour the cupboards for food. they live outside so they have to search around a wider area.
ooh - but you shouldn't assume that someone has never lived elsewhere or had to do what you have! many irish people have spent time in other countries as volunteers or immigrants. here in ireland because the african immigrants were from different countries and had different mother tongues they settled and integrated easier than polish immigrants who shared a mother tongue and tended to stick together.
yes - it makes you richer inside to know what all of these emotions feel like and easier to understand your loved ones when they have to deal with them...
i wouldn't take it so seriously - the population factors alone give the more populated countries a huge advantage - the entire population of ireland - approx. 4million, would fit into one american city!
sorry, i disagree - the romantics and idealists don't have it wrong - they are simply ahead of the times. we are not ready for true multiculturalism, that does not mean that in some time in the future we won't be. giving up on people getting along with each other should not be an option, the process should be ongoing and beats fighting each other to be the only one left standing.
People can live without hope - but prefer to live with it. science is not an excuse for anything, it is something that every scientist has to continue to prove to improve. belief in the ethereal never has to be proved - in fact those that believe always ask those that do not to prove the negative or that it is not true. it's impossible to prove the negative, as it's got so much belief attached to it. you can't prove there is a big yellow teapot orbiting mars right now so there must be one!
my mother had a near death experience in her 30's and told us as children all about it. my mother believes in an afterlife, she never questions it - it's a nice thing for her to believe in as it comforts her now in her mid 80's. i have no intention of taking that comfort from her, but i don't need it. i prefer truth, honesty and knowledge.
