my mum used to be called maureen and have two legs, now she is called peg (leg) and has one leg! she is hilarious, and never lets life get her down - never did! though in a nursing home and on a diet for the last 3 years, she's managed to gain weight by visiting bed ridden friends and eating their chocolates and treats she is as naughty now as she ever was and i love her dearly...
oh i don't have so much confidence, and i always kept feeling men i didn't know might recognise me when i'm out and about, but after a couple of weeks i got over it... perhaps it's more difficult in smaller towns, but waterford is not so big. the problem with exchanging email addresses is the scammer problem, just because someone is irish, doesn't mean they are not a scammer. also a pic can be put on a profile (not a primary pic) for a half an hour even to avoid this situation, then removed.
that's such an old line!..and men are scaredy cats anyway - they are often more recognisable from the back view, scuttling off in the distance - especially when you are married to them!
when i was looking i said really clearly on my profile that i wouldn't reply to anyone without a pic. of course this iwas ignored a lot and the couple of times i broke my rule (probably curiosity + boredom reasons! ) it never went anywhere. i wasn't interested in people 'afraid' to show their faces - sorry, it's really just another excuse to me. i never went short of meeting people because of it and to be honest, it takes little effort to put a pic up. finding men you click with takes time and effort - as in the real world. posting on the forums will get you noticed aswell as 'tagging' your interests and reviewing photos of men in your age group (- aka wanted list )
i think our cost of living is higher here, so i agree the y should at least up it to 80k however that does mean the people to come out worst yet again are the inbetweeners - who have to pay college fees - get no grant money etc. personally, i think our children should all be treated equally up to the age of 18, as up to that time they have little power over their futures. now if you say stop the child benefot for people earning in excess of 250k a year - their children definitely won't suffer!
you have to remember that Africa is not a country, it's a very large continent full of large countries all different to each other! some african countries seem to be worse for scam mails than others, but i still say that taking part on the forums is a good way to show your true self, even just to make friends around the world.
if you take part on the forums and let people get to know you, you will find such borders coming down - i never let boundaries like 'USA only' put me off..
i had a brief relationship with a smoker a few months ago and found it difficult as i don't smoke, but i think if there had been more 'chemistry' it may not have been such a negative thing for me!
RE: Teflon or not Teflon.....the birds should not be in cages!!!
