can someone please give me a push in the right direction when it comes to shopping in Dublin?
I ve been to Dublin before, only for 1 1/2 Days due to flight delays and as i m doing the same Trip again shortly i would like to know where do i find the best shopping places.
I be staying again in the Point a Dublin in Parnell Street but last time we walked just round there and close to O' Connell Street for ages. ( Mind you the food there was brilliant) This time we hoping to find Shops who are not so mainstream.
before we headed back to the Airport we bought half of Tesco, but looking now for a way bigger supermarket to do the same, as I m sure there are some.
an Insider tip for a Pub where there is live music would be much apriciatet
as i came to realize that , since Brexit, i can no longer do the shopping i wanted to do in England, I have deceided we fly to Dublin instead, Tickets are almost the same and hopefully we finaly get our hand on a decend Steak&Kidney pie to bring back home...amongst other things.

The Germans are not interested in English food..... we have American pop up stores everywhere now, and they are just full of Sweets and awfull Drinks, who will give you Diabetic issues
I`m planing a Day visit over to UK, only for shopping at any of the Big Supermarkets and give that as a surprise Xmas gift to somebody.
My Question is, what Airport would you advise on using? I have been to Heathrow a few times and used the Tubes to get about.... but Flights from Frankfurt to Heathrow are almost twice as much as to Luton or Stansted. But i have never been there....all i know is that they far away from London....But for my purpose i just need to make sure there is a big Shop nearby. Can anybody help me out here? Thanks

Germany stopped the Law if you call it that that you have to do your 15 month of Armee service, God knows how many years ago. Due to that it reduced its Weapons to such a low number, that only now with the conflict in Ukraine going on they have realized, if it would come to another WW3, there is now way the Armee would be able to defend the whole of Germany.
This of course woke some sleepy heads up and now the Armed Forces are at least trying to build itself upagain for worst case szenario.
So please check your fact, wherever you find them correctly, specialy the one that England and France are old Enemys... its a lot of cobblewobble, we live in 2022 and not in 1941

Over here in Germany you can get it only as an EBook....but i know in Uk and USA you can get it as a Paperback.

Hi all, Can someone please answer the following question: I m a Stieg Larson / David Lagercrantz fan and know the new Book comes out in August this Year...are you able in Sweden to get the Paperback Straight Away ( in English) or is it the same as here in Germany where the Hardcover comes out first and mabye 15 month later the paperback. ...i can't wait that much longer :-/ Thanks for reading ??
Yes, we do have Tax on Dogs. ..is about €100 a Year...mabye more if it falls into the Category of *danger* Dogs...like pitbull etc.
But the story about a Dog been sold on eBay is little diffrent to what you heard. a Family had the Debtcollector round as it owed Money to various poeple/firms ....as a Debtcollector you have the right to Take Everything of Value...and the Dog was. ...so it got taken and sold on ebay. the Money than was used towards the unpaid bills
you have a point........ as the daily News from UK about acid attacks, muggins and other horrible crimes are an every day reading as Headlines in your Newspapers
but my point is , why everybody is blaming and shaming Angela Merkel? Theresa May has just the same problem......with Refugees or people of foreign decent who turn criminal......but she doesn't get half the hate Merkel gets.
Merkel wants to get rid of those who break the Law..... why should we Taxpayer pay for there Prison time. she also wants more EU states to share the Responsebility of those in need. current situation with those who are found on open Waters.
Sure there are a lot people who dont share my opinion, but you also should look closely to who they are and where they from..... the most hate campains come from those living in the former East Germany......the same people who screamed and begged for food parcels before the Wall came down and the same who made sure us West Germans get % of our Wages taken each month so they can build up the Roads and Houses they neglegted for Decades.
but just out of curiosity........ How many Germans to you know.... for real...not just over the Internet???
with all my Heart I loathe this Thread..... Because
i also live near Frankfurt in a small village.......... and nobody here is scared of the 100 asylumseekers our village rehoused......... they are from all over, friendly and gratefull for any hint of sympathy towards them.
all this talk about they taking our jobs...or get by via our social system.......... well, if a Refugee can get a Job you cant get, he obvisly has more qualifications than you.........and we have a very low unemployment rate........Its the people who been scrounching the welfare system for years who are the ones shouting out the loudest that everything is so unfair.
all these Jobs like Trashcollecting.... Fieldwork for Farmers or even cleaning offices or shopfloors........ no German wants to get down and dirty anymore.......... but hey , all hell breakes lose if a Refugee is doing it.
sure we have crime....but is it not just to easy to point Fingers at one Direction , and forget about the German childmolesters, Wifebashers, Thiefs and Murderes whos crime hardly get a mention anymore as it would make to many bad News, so we keep coming up every day with more Fake News
