Tru
Lots of Mexicans have not pensions at all, many generate their own income mostly through a cash economy and . pension is one thing and the cost of living is another.

In no way the cost of living in Great Britain compares to the cost of living here, yours is way more expensive and just because people live in a rich country that does not make people rich because people live in a "Great" country that makes people "Great" neither.

RE: Donald Trump has been accused of fuelling hate crime

All that crime in UK and USA and the world is because of those .... illegal immigrants.

RE: THE URANIUM DEAL WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BE A CRIME

Your opening statement is false:

Joy

Uranium
“..At the time of the sale, (Hillary) Clinton was a member of the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States, which is required by law to investigate all U.S. transactions that involve a company owned or controlled by a foreign government. Federal guidelines say any one of nine voting members of the committee can object to such a foreign transaction, but the final decision then rests with the president.

The fact is,
H. Clinton was one of nine voting members on the foreign investments committee, which also includes:

the secretaries of the Treasury,
Defense,
Homeland Security,
Commerce and Energy,
the attorney general,
(and representatives from two White House offices )
the United States Trade Representative and the
Office of Science and Technology Policy.
(Separately, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission needed to approve (and did approve) the transfer of two uranium recovery licenses as part of the sale.)

Is Hilary responsible for the Uranium matter?
She had not the power to have the final word and I do not see your naming everyone whom was in the Commitee mentioned above.

Have the Clintons benefited from their being in the gov, of course they have just as Trump is doing and was doing it using his mar a lago state….and promoting his business trough his family.

Get your data-facts right.

(btw Australia has 29 % of the world's Uranium reserves, Rusia 9% and USA 1%)

cool

Wake up Joy

If you can not see what is going on beyond blaming Hilary or the Clintons, you are not seeing the bigger picture. Although, it might be already late.

RE: THE URANIUM DEAL WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BE A CRIME

The intelligence report about Rusia's interference in Trump's elections is not available to every one yet the congresspeople that have had it in their hands have concluded.

January 2017
".There’s now enough evidence to conclude that Russia “clearly tried to meddle in our political system,” Paul Ryan (Wis.), the Republican speaker of the House, said ...

..The 14-page declassified report is part of a longer classified document, which is reportedly over 50 pages long. The report fulfilled an order from the White House last month that tasked the intelligence community with conducting a full review of foreign hacking efforts aimed at disrupting U.S. elections dating back to 2008. The declassified report released Friday focused almost exclusively on the 2016 election.

...The CIA and FBI have a high degree of confidence that Putin’s aim was to boost Trump’s chances of winning, while discrediting his opponent, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, according to the report. The NSA has a moderate degree of confidence in this assertion, according to the report. Russian intelligence services conducted cyberattacks against targets associated with both the Democratic and Republican parties, the intelligence agencies found."

And you are concerned about the Uranium...?

Be my guest!

RE: THE URANIUM DEAL WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BE A CRIME

Trump said he was going to appoint an special prosecutor for Hilary's e-mails wrong doing therefore would Trump appoint an special prosecutor to investigate his son e-mails? and also his relationship with Russia?

What did you say about democracy?

I do have an advantage above you Joy, I disapprove of them both yet Trump wins in that.

# 17 in economic freedom status? with a 20 trillion debt?

Not bad!

The growth of a country is way more than economics and quality of life, non-hostile environment, etc...should be taken into account. What your Trumpy has done is to polarize your society and that can not be fixed by economic means.

RE: THE URANIUM DEAL WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BE A CRIME

Send lots of maple syrup because we have 644 mil ton of avocados per season and for the record they are expensive even here.

One kilo of avocados a couple of months ago was around 5 dollars, now it is close to 4 dollars at the supermarkets but getting avocados at the farmers market their price goes down 25 to 30 %.

Guacamole!

Recently, someone in my family had to renovate his/her USA visa for a work meeting there and this person said that there were not many Mexicans asking for a visa, as before Trump.

RE: THE URANIUM DEAL WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BE A CRIME

We do have a saying:

"Dog that barks never bites"

Not matter what a president says, there are business people that make their own decisions and overcome all those corners and there will always be trading. In some cases there is a triangle and some maneuvers that allow business people to import-export whatever. One president has not the power to direct/conduct or even stop trading yet making trading more expensive...who is going to pay for it?

RE: THE URANIUM DEAL WITH RUSSIA SHOULD BE A CRIME

I know the numbers.

Reposting:

"...The TLC (NAFTA) is good and bad in every side and the magnitude in either side is not static.
Mexico has not a significative trading with Canada, so ending the TLC for them is not a big deal.
Canada and USA do have a big trading so, going bilateral should not be a problem, perhaps.

Mexico and USA have a big trading but we do sell avocados and tomatoes , so they must be able to find them some place else or substitute for them.

We on the other hand, do import lots of goods from USA but most of them are made in China so, why not to buy them directly from China?

Ending an agreement is not ipso facto, it takes time just like Brexit, Paris Accord, etc. but it will most probably change if not because of Trump, because of the next elected president here, perhaps.
Anyway 2018 is going to be a hot political year for Mexico -already is- and the future of NAFTA along with the energy reform might have a different turn....
