Depends how far you are from retirement. I would recommend retiring early, and have some fun , while you can Fun is of course to your own choosing. Work for another 5 years, maybe, and save to retire then maybe if you downsize , (Your house)you might have some dosh in your back pocket to play around with!!
John dearest,,,, it was not gossip, it was my own business and i told it to a then confidant , who later trusted someone else.,, but you are quite right, i have learned a lesson even if it was a very long time ago!
I like this,,, i remember a bull fight , when i was in Madrid, on holliday. Just saw it on T V as i wasn't going to it Never forget the look on the Matador's face ,when he drove sword into the bull, he was so proud looking,, i can still see his face,,,, it is such a cruel thing to do, hate it with a passion!!
Have you been let down by someone that spread something that you told them in confidence.,,,,,, I have in the past, and was very shocked and disappointed in that person. Are you lucky enough to have great friends that you confide in, and that you trust.
