Why are you holding someone else responsible for the way you feel?If someone doesn't respond the way you would have liked, only YOU are responsible for how you feel about that.
The general rule of thumb for all human interaction, be it in business or personal relationships is..."The first impression is the lasting impression". Or said another way.."You don't get a second chance at a first impression"
I think that is generally true that we tend to form impressions of others within 20 seconds of meeting them. Not always a bad thing as it is is part of our human survival instinct.
As with any general rule there are, of course, exceptions. I am sure we all have formed initial impressions of someone and later changed our minds after getting to know them.
I have a guy who works for me that is always going to court..traffic, etc..about every other week. Have another who's grandmother seems to have died about 3 times now..
So you buy the Moslem Brotherhood is just a peace-loving 'for the people, by the people' group? Ok. Well, dream on. They were nothing more than the mouthpiece (front guys) in Egypt. Radical Islamic rhetoric and thinking has already been rushing to fill the void created there by this so-called "freedom movement" on their behalf. What better place to create subversion than in the most powerful Arab country?
Iran is near completion of their nuclear program. We'll see more of their power playing tactics over coming months as they work to achieve a dominant position in the region. Obama is a joke to them. They consider him weak and ineffectual...much as they considered Carter the same way.
I fail to see what difference that makes. In 10 years the world will still be running on petroleum. America knows it, Europe knows it, the Arabs know it. The whole world knows it.
The Iranians are laughing their asses off at this president. They have serious doubts he will stay in power in this country so they are making their move now to position themselves as the dominant power in the Mid-East just in case they don't have their friends in the White House after 2012.
The reality is the so-called "democracy movement" in the Arab world is bogus. Iran is making their moves to take advantage of these uprisings...sponsoring most of them, in fact... all in the name of "democracy".
So, he shuts down our off-shore production making us further dependent on the increasingly unstable Arab oil producing nations who are about to be taken over by American-hating, extremist Islamic terrorists who may soon control the majority of oil flowing out of the Middle East. Yeah, brilliant plan President O to make us less dependent.. ...
Despite all our critics (and God knows there are many) when any situation presents itself...be it natural disaster, war or any other situation that threatens mankind, it is America and Britain that step forward and take action...financially, militarily, etc. Its easy to criticize the doers of this world. Are we perfect? No! But courage is not in being perfect, it is in taking action in spite of imperfections.
WPA was created as a "make work" program. During the Depression. the government tried to give hand outs to people and most would not take it...they wanted to work for what they earned.
Now, we have millions of people who have sold their freedom for a handout. Politicians, on both sides of the aisle, are literally buying votes with all the entitlement programs created by Washington...and placing the debt on the backs of our children and generations to come.
Absolutely. I've owned small businesses of various kinds over the last 30 years and have seen what you are talking about first hand. Small business is the most over-taxed, over-regulated group of people in America.
Small businesses create a vastly disproportionate share of the net new jobs in the United States. ........ it is reasonable to estimate that over the past twenty-five years two-thirds of the net new jobs in the private sector originated among small firms that account for about half of total private employment.
Nothing like that for me, but years ago I met a woman at a bar that offered to take me home with her. Only stipulation was she told me her husband wanted to watch! Freaky.
RE: I'm looking for:
As usually happens this time of day, I am looking for my car keys.
