RE: For all the Single Parents

hug handshake

When my daughters were pre-teens, they were the ones that encouraged me to find someone...it made "dating" easier knowing they were in my corner!

RE: Does Santa exist?

Yes he does!...and contrary to popular belief he DOES NOT live in the north pole...he lives in my wallet!!christmas sad

RE: Your 1rst Computer.

I hear ya! I used to love to read the newspaper in the morning with my coffee...always did the crossword...now I check Facebook, my email accounts...and of late the CS forums...

It wasn't wrong...women have biological clocks grin

Do you find good manners is a thing of the past?

Donation Kettles

Are you irritated by the "Santa's" or Salvation Army Donation kettles that are set up in store doorways or in malls....

or do you feel more charitable at this time of year and happy to donate...

Are you more apt to look for the same qualities as yourself in a partner...or someone totally or somewhat opposite from you?

RE: how did you end your last relationship

Sadly...my children wereblues

RE: for women at 40's something....

It isn't with sorrow I look back on...as a matter of fact it was me that put an end to it...

It is as "K" said...nothing stops the hands of time...one day I looked in the mirror and realized I was giving the "prime of my life" (because that is when women are in their prime mid 30's to mid 40's) to someone I had no intention of spending the rest of my life with..

RE: for women at 40's something....

Been there...done that...enjoy it while it lasts (mine lasted 8 years)...but eventually it does end...the age difference does take its toll...and begins to show..handshake

RE: What to say to your child

Nothing...I have never told them in the past what they may or may not ask "Santa" for..why would I start now?

I was not always able to buy everything on their lists...so I guess this one would have fallen under the "not getting" category...

RE: Posting on CS

Personally I think "speaking your mind" is a thing of the past...

Too many recriminations and retaliations attached to it...JMO

Takes a "village" to raise a child?

RE: What would be the main cause for a III world war?

rolling on the floor laughing thumbs up wine

RE: The Death Penalty

I don't want to comment on the question itself, but often wonder about your question when a "sentence" has been passed down...

I was put in this position once (not the death penalty), but at the end of the day when I realized that nothing was going to bring my child back....did destroying other lives really make sense...Its not just the life of the "perpetrator" that is affected here...its their extended family too...and THEY did not commit a crime..

RE: Where are the homebodies?

Well unless we are ALL using laptops...I'd hazzard a guess and say we're at home on the internet....

But you have to admit...camping, picnics, long walks on the beach sounds better on a profile...grin

Takes a "village" to raise a child?

Hi Steve..

I purposely left the interpretation of my question open...it is interesting to see how each individual interprets "assisting in raising a child"...

Takes a "village" to raise a child?...

How much responsibility do you think the neighbourhood/community that you live in should take in assisting you to raise your child/children
