Things did not work out last time partly due to interfernce from my ex wife and the way I was dealing with the situation at the time.
I never said anything bout her being french so not sure of the point to that post.
I see her differntly now as I have seen her as a friend and not a GF. all the things that first attracted me to her are still there but it has all been more relaxed now between us.
Thanks for the advice, I guess I will bite the bullet and try to explain to her in the morning.
The reason I say "betraying her friendship" is simply as she has done me a massive favour by allowing me to stay at her place for the time being. Does she really need the hassle of me potentially putting her in a situation that could make her feel awkward? There are other complications too and things would be really difficult hence why I have so far not said anything to her, guess i was trying to find the right moment but it hasnt happend yet as every time the chance arises I think to myself that it would be unfair to put this on her.
I have managed to get myself into a real dilema. Last year I met a girl on here and started seeing her for a few months but several things got in the way and as a result things didnt work out. We remained friends and i thought i was over her until a few days ago when i suddenly realised that although I was over her I have now seen her with new eyes. The last couple of weeks i have been staying at her holiday home before i return to the UK to live next week. Trouble is I have realised that she is the most incredable woman i have ever met and that i care for her more than i know i should. I have not fallen head over heals for her but have realised she is everything and more that i have ever wanted in a partner.
If i tell her that i want to try again then i risk the chance of damaging a friendship that I really do value, if i dont tell her then i know i will always regret it. Things get really complicated from here on in but wont bore you with the details. Just wish i knew what to say or do as feel like i am betraying a friendship at the moment and she deserves much better than that.
Would it be worth looking at flying with easyjet to somewhere like paris or london and getting flights from there? might be a cheeper option but will be more travelling.
For me the great outdoors is what living is all about, there is nothing better than grabing a few bits of kit and going trekking to clear the cobwebs especially over winter.
The best things come to those who wait. Dont get disheartend when things dont go right, it just means that this wasnt the right person for you but the next one might be.
I am currently missing my Alaskan Malamute while away for a few weeks. He is one of the most loveable dogs I have ever known but guess I am a little biassed.
Having been on the forum side of this site for only a short while I am surprised at the number of highly inflammatory posts that are allowed. It goes without sying tht these are going to cause upset to some people and when they get upset and try to do something about it these people then get banned from here. Would it not make more sense to ban those who cause the problems in the first place? I know I will be told if I dont like it then get out, but this is the most poorly moderated forum I have ever used. This should be a fun place to be but due to a few individuals setting out to destroy things it is ruining it for everybody.
I dont think anybody minds a bit of banter but a lot seems to be going a bit over the top at the moment in some threads. If it was just the occsional one it wouldnt be so bad but it seems like almost every post now.
If people want to ask questions I am sure they will, I also appreciate that english is not a first language for some users so the questions will be poorly formed but that is not an excuse for provocative, offensive posts.
One user has clearly targated another CS user in his posts in what appears to be a direct attempt to ridicule and humiliate the individual.
Everybody has a right to express an opinion and ask questions, when this is a direct attempt to embarasse or humiliate certain people there is no justification and this is happening. I have no time for these individuals and it saddens me that people try to defend them without seeing what is really happening. They do not care about the forum or its members, they have their own agenda and are happy to drag people down with them.
Some good points but I have to say that the posts from these '3' users all seem to be aimed at winding people up and in one case is clearly setting out to target certain individuals. In my opinion thaat is just pathetic on their part on no amount of defence can justify that. I suspect that at least 2 of the 3 are the same person if not all 3. If people want to put up with their tedious threads then so be it. personnaly I think all 3 are complete w*****S who are destroying what should be a fun and light hearted forum.
I totally agree with you. Have not been on the forums for long but there are a few users that keep posting up stupid threads. Don't think I will be sticking around for long.
Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, olny taht the frist and lsat ltteres are at the rghit pcleas. The blown diffusers rule come into effect from the British GP, I suspect that will start that weekend which will help close the gap between some teams.
I got to meet webber several times in his formula ford days and he was back then a very polite driver not to mention a great driver. He does seem to be left very much as a second driver for RB, if he was given equal chances for parts and devolpement I suspect he would be running a lot closer to Vettel, Not due to the parts themselves but the physcological impact it has by being a rel second driver. I doubt he would match Vettels pace in quali but in the race I think he his consistancy would make a bigger diffeerence.
I would not say Mclaren had the best driver/car package this year at all. The car is not the fastest on the grid so that is hampering the drivers couple this to what appears very hit and miss pit work this year I cant see them winning the championship. As much as I hate to admit it Hamilton is probably the only true race driver out there this year with the exception of Schumi. There are many great drivers this year but those are the 2 that have a history of trying and succeding to pass on a regular basis. I can think of some great passes by most of the current drivers but they dont seem to have the ability to consistantly make passes stick. Petrov is probbly one of the hardest trying drivers at the moment but he is still very raw in talent but give it a few years and he could be champion. If I was to say what the best car on the grid this year was I would have to say the Renaults, in pre season testing in Kubicas hands it was consistently the quickest even beating the RBR cars. We will never know how good that car really is with the current drivers who seem to be struggling with pace this year.
I know I am going to be on my here but I am a big fan of RBR and Webber in particular, however Vettel is on top form at the moment and I cant see ny real challengers until the rule changes come into effect at sillystone. I do have mixed views on if it is good for a championship by having one driver winning all the time. From a championship perspective then it is bad but a small part of me would like to see 1 driver have a whitewash of every race. The racing this year has been better than it has been for years but to get excellent racing/overtaking then remove the wings so cars can get closer.
I started after the smoking ban came into force in the UK. Got fed up with being left on my own while eveyone else went outside for a cig so ended up joining them and started smoking. The irony is all the time smoking was allowed in pubs it never even crossed my mind to have a cig.
Should I say or walk away
