Hiya Jac I've never paid much attention to the sound a light bulb makes but now that you've asked, I just had to go take a listen to an led bulb in my kitchen and yep, I can hear it faintly. There are just so many different background sounds going on all the time that I think we tend to tune them out.
My reason for no pic is that I'm not on the site for dating and not having a pic up keeps the mailbox empty which is the way I like it. Some people have had their profile pictures used by others who were up to no good as well.
If, like approximately 90 percent of Canadian adults, you have had chicken pox, the virus that caused the infection is still in your nervous system, lying dormant.
As people age, and their immune function declines, “the virus can reactivate, and go from the nerve into the skin, causing a rash that can be associated with severe pain,” explains Dr. Mark Loeb, division director of infectious diseases and a professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont. (While you can get shingles at any age, the odds start climbing at 50, then more sharply with each decade.)
The condition can cause serious complications ranging from vision loss, heart attack and stroke, to post-herpetic neuralgia (nerve pain that persists three months or longer, which affects up to one in three shingles sufferers).
And again, the risk of these problems increases with age: for instance, in a study published in Epidemiology & Infection in 2001, only one percent of shingles sufferers 44 and under needed to be admitted to hospital, versus over 10 percent of those 65 and older."
Yeah, Mr. Sunshine is trying so hard to peek through the clouds today I know all about lake effect snow and it's part of the joys of living close to a lake in Ontario....you'll get used to it but then again, what choice do we have?
Thank you for the compliment Jo and I have to say that there's a reason why like minds attract....you're a kind soul chock full of positivity and love and it shows.
Is that the title of the movie or did you actually go to a theater and throw rotten tomatoes at three nearby billboards? Think I'll stay indoors till spring arrives.
