RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

This is for you Dude, because you care!hug

An Honest, Caring Dude!

I cannot write your name,
but you're well known all the same.
Your Obama poll's a blast
you can bet it will outlast
another poll or thread,
even when you go to bed.

You take the naysayers on
and I think you've always won,
every battle that you've fought.
I don't think it's all for naught.

A brave Dude, yes you are.
Beside your name, I place a star.
On you, I can depend,
and you will not let it end.
You will post another poll,
and you'll always reach your goal.

You battle night and day.
You're determined to have your say
and get your point across.
You're never at a loss.

You are in Denmark, yes.
But it's easy for us to guess,
that you love America too
and our flag, the red, white and blue.

I hope you like it Dude!

BLESS YOUR HEART!!!!!

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

The farm wasn't our main source of income. Daddy just bought it because he wanted a farm. My mother is in no shape to keep up with the daily operation of it, so of course, she uses hired help to manage it and maintain it. Alot of the food gets donated, but I do understand that there were concerts to aid farmers who were having a tough time of it because their farm was their very existence.

It was always nice to have fresh produce, canned fruits and frozen veges in the freezers for winter. Farm life can be hard but very rewarding.wave

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

I like cowhand also. Everyone from Denmark is just soo sweet!!!teddybear bouquet gift

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

Well..my mother owns the farm now since daddy died. I was raised in farm country and even though we had money, daddy was always the hands-on approach guy. We would get out in the fields and pick the veges right along side our workers. Daddy wanted us to know all about farming, he believed in being educated in every aspect and that included farming because farming is important.

Unfortunately, to this day, I still don't have a green thumb.

However that is fabulous news!!cheering applause yay

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

Ccincy, things are not that bad here. Mall of America is jammed packed. Everytime I past by the iPhone store or whatever it's called, that store is also packed. We've got "hiring" signs all over the place here, of course they may just be for Christmas.

I was in the liquor store the other day with a friend and it was chaos in there. People were buying the best liquor by cases, champagne by cases, expensive wines. These were no wino's. Of course, I've been seeing this scenario long before the holiday season approached. All I'm saying is that I do see a glimmer, but then, we have a lot of rich people here anyway, so that may make a difference.

So, my prayers are with the people in Ohio who are still out of a job and elsewhere of course.handshake

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

Things have gone horribly wrong here in Minnesota because we have a recount getting started yet again. This time it's between former state Senator Mark Dayton, a democrat and Tom Emmer, a republican, who has been twice convicted for drunk driving and sponsored legislation to make it easier for drunk drivers to get off with basically a slap on the wrist.

How the election for governor got so close is beyond the end of enough in believability!!help

What are people thinking?????????

shock uncertain

RE: Now Palin is playing the race card.

Maybe, it will be a Palin/Pawlenty ticket.

But with the problems we have in Minnesota in getting anybody elected without recounts, Pawlenty may still be 'acting governor' by the time the next presidential election comes around.roll eyes

RE: Are you interested in dating people 20 years older than you?

Been there, done that, it was a disaster!!!!

I just recently kicked a guy that was 16 years older than me to the curb. We had absolutely NOTHING in common.
thumbs down

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

Reagan and George W. Bush are tied for worst presidents in American history. Reagan with his 'trickle down voodo economics' and deregulation sent this country into the toilet. Why he is looked upon with such esteem is baffling to say the least. Do I really need to go into details about why Bush is tied with Reagan??!!!roll eyes

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

If Dude is so desperate, why are you always first, 2nd or 3rd in line beating a path to his poll?

Maybe if you had an original idea in your own head, you'd have your own thread/poll and would have no need to come to Dude's just to post 'laughing all over the place' emoticons.

That's all you got!! Dude has mowed you down so many times, I've lost count!grin

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

It is nice and thoughful of you to come onto Dude's thread and slap him on the back for a job well done for starting such a thoughtful, honest and filled with integrity poll.

When Dude starts a poll, you never fail to show up to congratulate him. Dude, are you honored by this backslapping on a job well done from Con?yay

RE: America is recovering! Obama deserves Credit and not Nagging liers!

You really shouldn't talk about yourself like that. Check with your doctor, you may be showing signs of senility.professor

RE: Will America recover FROM the Obama Presidency.

Ray, in my opinion..this entire post is 100% true!!! Unfortunately!

RE: TRUTH1

Who are you referring to? Your doctor? The medical community at large? The pharma companies? Who?dunno

RE: Did You Learn Anything?

Thank you for your honesty and I am smittensmitten by your words.

Am arranging my plane fare as I type this. See ya soon!!!!laugh

RE: How can they love me with?

Since I get all my dates from nursing homes and senior assisted living communities, I would have to state that...yes, I would be willing to commit to a person that is not 100% healthy.

None of us are getting any younger and many of us just can't stand to be reminded of our mortality. So, I think that some people would have a problem with dating someone who has health problems, especially if they are severe.

I, do however, draw the line at dating people with STDs, for obvious reasons.professor

RE: Did You Learn Anything?

I've learned that some people just basically can't help lying.

I met a guy online, he told me his age, he was actually 12 years older.

He said he had black hair, he did..when he dyed it.

He said he was divorced...somehow, he found his wife.

He said he drank socially...'socially' was a 24 hour party.

Need I say more???roll eyes

RE: Rate President Obama A, B, C, D, F

I truly believe that you received 1000 responses on this topic and that they were legitimate and that most Countries in the World gave President Obama an "F" by 47% IN YOUR MIND!!

Just because there are those in this country who hate the president, he's received tremendous approval ratings from damn near every other country/nation.

However, I give you an 'F' for posting a 'FAKE' poll.

Nice try thoughroll eyes

RE: Will America recover FROM the Obama Presidency.

That is what is happening, but you can't get people to wake up or shut up long enough to realize just what is really going on.

Remember the distraction was "should gays be allowed to marry?"

Then the distraction of "WMDs in Iraq, we've got to go in."

Then the distraction of "if we allow the banks to fail, it'll be the end for us and we need the banks to loan money and keep the economy going." Well..that was a big, fat lie! The banks were bailed out, people began losing their homes, the so-called government refinancing didn't work, what with all the paper work mishandling(intentional of course), most people still lost their homes. So, the banks were propped up with taxpayer money, then the taxpayers lost their jobs and their homes and then there went their credit scores. How can you go into a bank and ask for a loan with all of that mess coming in the door with you???

When the jobs dried up and people started screaming and yelling about that, another distraction when someone pointed the finger at the "illegals" and said, "they're the problem!" Then new laws were passed in Arizona regarding immigration when in fact, if companies were not hiring "illegals" would they be here?

Distract, distract, distract and then strike!

RE: Will America recover FROM the Obama Presidency.

Ray, there was something not quite right about this past presidential election anyway. I mean, Obama literally comes out of nowhere and then he's put up against McCain???

I remember hearing older people in stores talking among themselves about the age factor of McCain(especially knowing that Reagan had Alzheimers before he left office). Many were wondering why the republicans picked someone so old as their presidential candidate and Sarah Palin, another almost unknown governor of Alaska???

It was like the presidency was handed to Obama on a silver platter. It was just too smooth.

I've always maintained that(and I'll quote from one of my poems),

"don't think your vote will make a difference,
politicians in office are just for appearance."

I truly believe that we are led to believe that when we go to the polls, we're doing something constructive, we're not. It's all a big illusion. They may as well get David Copperfield to make the Statue of Liberty disappear again.

The good ole days as I knew them are long gone, never to return.

sigh

RE: Will America recover FROM the Obama Presidency.

You're absolutely right! Just like what's happening now. The republicans are blaming the democrats, the democrats are blaming the republicans and what is actually getting done?????

RE: Will America recover FROM the Obama Presidency.

Now, Ray..you know that the people of America today, are not the 'revolutionary' sort.

We are complacent, apathetic, whiny, complaining children who need a pacifer shoved in our mouth when we lose our big fancy cars, latest iphone, big flat screen hdtv, McMansion and summerhouses, etc.

All anyone has to do to pull the wool over the eyes of Americans is place bright, shiny expensive gadgets in front of them and their focus is instantly, elsewhere. Distraction has worked pretty well for quite sometime, no need to fix what's not broken.

Lines are already forming for the latest blockbuster movie hit, the latest electronic gadget that came down the pike. So, what's the problem?

So, we lose a few more rights, as long as Americans are texting, playing with Wii, etc., they won't look up until the repo man is at the door and the letters stating that credit has dried up is opened, then they'll cry foul and look around to see who to blame. The problem is that who is to blame is staring at them in their own mirror.

The other problem is that Americans no longer give a damn about their neighbor, it's "as long as I got mine, I don't care about you and yours" mentality.

If we fall the way of the USSR, so be it, but there will never be a revolution, that much I'd bet the farm on.

RE: Will America recover FROM the Obama Presidency.

Now, the above statement is something I DEFINITELY agree with!sigh

RE: It Made Life Easier...Really??

With technology making leaps and bounds, almost daily it seems, it was supposedly to make life easier...really?

It made it easier for us to slide six feet under. Children nowadays can be found in front of a big screen tv playing video games, thus helping along the childhood obesity increase.

Adults are busy on websites trying to find a date with ever increasing waistlines.

Cutting back on the number of family owned farms has made it necessary for us to buy less-than-good-for-us packaged processed foods that are also causing us to have an early expiration date(not to mention recall after recall of foods).

We drive everywhere, creating more pollution and getting less exercise. There was a time when people did not need a gym membership, they had to walk or ride horseback to get anywhere. It was healthier(unless you got thrown from your horse, although car accidents have taken the place of that situation)and better for the environment. All that manure fertilizing the ground, making the veges grow.

I don't own a tv. I have a work issued cell phone and a pay-as-you-go cellphone just for emergencies, so that never gets used.

I actually envy the Amish people and their way of life. If I'd never had electricity, I couldn't miss it if it was suddenly no longer there. We're now soft because we think we need AC, remote controls and all the other gadgets that come down the pikesigh

RE: Now that Obama is effectly a lame duck, what do you think will happen next? He'll....

The very poor can't pay much in the way of taxes.
They just don't have anything.

The rich don't pay much either.
The tax system is designed to allow them to escape taxation.
I remember one year way back in the 80s when I, on my 10-dollar-an-hour job as a news pressman paid more income taxes than the richest man in America, H.L. Hunt.

So if neither the rich nor the poor pay taxes, that just leaves the poor working class to pay for everything.[/quote]

So true, so true! sigh Even I might have to start buying domestic champagne. Perish the thought!!uh oh

RE: I want this thread to hit 5 pages.

I'll go with the:A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.

I am so done with dating, stick a fork in me. I have found that not looking for a man/mate/significant other and basically filling my spare time with more interesting events, etc., has given me a whole new outlook.

I am so thankful for 'call block' because now the guy that was calling me every day is unable to do so.

The only reason I've stayed on this site was to post my poetry and I'll soon be doing that elsewhere, but I promise not to post an 'I'm leaving thread'.grin cool

RE: Beer or wine

Definitely, a champagne girl!! Cocktail hour starts in exactly 51 minutes!drink pouring drinking cheering
