To tell you the truth....I would have had hard to sleep at nights.

it is painful to know people do have it like that. How much I need an insurance, but am too ill to get it. What a darn train to travel by.

i have a friend of mine in Florida who suffered a heartattack and are now on the verge to have to sell the house. And if that was not enough, it is almost impossible to sell, but dread it is impossible to keep, with morgage and all. Worse scenario will be to just leave it.....and they expect him to recover!!!!!!

Well, I gather you belong to the gang that has been lucky in life, it does however take a few serious set backs to become a human with an enough vivid mind to imagine, you do share this world with those who has not been as lucky!!!!

America is based upon spirituality and freedom. To begin with.

Later it came to be based upon battles, rapes and humiliation.

I do not have to go on. What you call intellegent people are also corrupt people, drugdealers, well you name it.
Principle of Capitalism---work hard, deserves it---I think I am beginning to understand what Obama is up against, if the majority of the US citiziens consider intellegence the same way you do.

I do understand what you mean, it is the same way here. I all elections the poor who actually need to raise therir hands stay home, thinking they will not make any difference, everything is aiming towards hell anyway......yet, they are the ones most needed.

I believe in the guy, on the behalf of the poor and also for a safer and happier USA. But I have been awfully wrong before....and by age you lose being confident by nature!!!!

We are after all just dust in the Universe, Obama as well, perhaps many people look at him as "the dustrat" Probably in the long run and at the end of the day, we need to do our best, walk as graceful we can, creating and protect our own little island. This is what happens......and I dislike to see it. Those who makes a lot of money, pays a lot of taxes and pick on those who does not. Those who make a little less money, pays a little less taxes, but want to have the money the "a little better off" has, and think that they would have had it if it was not for those who do not pay taxes at all. The non taxpayers recieves a tag by the post saying burden!!!!

Thank you. We have it devided more like--high--average--low. The majority is avarage and within this frame the incometax is 31 percent. high--higher, low--lower to nothing.

Honestly I am amazed how you endure dealing with it. what we see of Obama on TV, and what litterature we can come by telling about him. We like him because he is a democrat, rather I like him because of that. He seems to be into these things seriously. And he seems to know what he is talking about.

I know I would have supported him, running with the flag in the front row. I also know it takes time to change things, and get people to get used to a thought of big changes.

You live in the prettiest country on earth, yet the crimerate and barren living situations are swollowing what is so great.

The gap between rich and poor is so big and so deep, it is going to take a mastermind to change it.

would you mind to pay more taxes if you gained the benefit of free healthcare for your family, free college for your children, free dental until the age of 18, free help in the home while you are ill, food and cleaning of your home for almost free when you are old.

Is that not what freedom is all about? To feel free to do what you want with the money you have left, not worrying about the most natural things in life?

Depends, if I am 27 still studying, not ever worked, get a kidney or lungdisease and need a transplant...and get it...then it is free.

If I have worked all my life, never been at the hospital lucky enough having been healthy.....then I am sure as a banana happy I have helped the guy above me getting a new kidney.

It is much about state of mind.

I am sorry but I think you are wrong. Each way you are controlled.
Either by the government or private commerce. I believe the claws are sharper and they are more profit eager.....at least you have some saying when it comes to the government....which resident does not want to win a second election.

The government control a lot of things over here and in many other europian countries.......the people are free, often due to less worries about lifechanging obsticles showing up.

No, I would rather have had the free healthcare for free yet, it is nice not to have to worry if I will be able to afford college for my child, knowing I can take them to the hospital if something happens and above everything know that if I get ill, I will have support for my children (government fixing daycare) also know as when I get out of the hospital I can still put food on the table for them and also stay safely in our home.

I do not mind it they even increase the taxes with a few percent, it is to me freedom----to feel safe and supported if bad times show up.

Obama does not only touch the healthcare. He is also talking about wellfare.

With wellfare comes taking care of people who does lose jobs. He is probably leaning at a whole new situation for the American citiziens.

If you lose your job here, you automatically get financesupport for a year to start with or until you get a new job.

It is nothing people are proud of, so the risk of making the situation permanent is not all that big.

We are fed with american documentaries, in which we watch people hiring an address in Canada to be able to get surgery done, as in Canada it is the free model. Americans pay for an address in Canada!!!!!!

In the programs it is forwarded that Americans are not prepared to pay an additional increased incometax.

I bet we will have to wait. I too have lived in the US, coming from Sweden the health care model swept me off my feet. And the school system.....everybody was complaining. They could not get why they as a leading country was so off shore, compared to us and shovelled the President to the wolves.

Now they have a president working in right direction...voila...out comes the shovel again!!!!!

Guess we will never understand...it would have been nice though...

As a European and admitting not much well read on the American politics, yet fairly aware of what Obama stands for, I have to wonder why so many.....of you....seem to be against him.

Obama, the way I see it, is struggling with well fare. he is heading for the model Europe (while Sweden is heading for the American model, although for years have watched it not working) and they will never get it there.

Is it his health care model that is the nail in the eye....or what?
