It is for sure a difficult question to answer. I think if I did this and that instead of what I did do, then I would have missed my children. I have two, fifteen years between them, so not much space there.
Somewhere I wish I would have made it buying a cabin in the woods, become selfsufficient, and a herbwitch.
Well, the problem was the fact I did not see much VARIETY. LOL Let us hope the spice of life turns up sooner than after all the varieties, life is full of them and one would turn really old before even the notion of the spice would reach us.

You are right. This is a good experience as anything else. You can meet someone anywhere and it shows not to work out. I guess you may be fortunate to meet someone here and it can work out. The odds are the same at the end of the day. I only started to get the feeling I was being the only one actually "looking", in a relaxed fashion though, and came about to think I was wasting my time, appearantly spending it on a site where people connected only for the fun of it. I have met a new side of persons here tonight, I am happy I posted the thread.

I belong to the alianated kind that do not fall in love or get attracted by a pretty face or a smooth sixpack. Unfortunately I need to combine the external with an internal belonging.
I laugh a lot around here, but just laughs do not make my heart accelerate, although humor is great. I like to see some great serious comments as well.....to my surprise, I have seen some flashes of it tonight.

You probably are right about the serious side about finding someone. The nut to crack in this case is wheather it is a bad idea to try to find someone on a dating site. I talk to people, many say they would not even go there, then again we have people who have met on a dating site and are in relationships brilliantly working. Nothing wrong in any of it, a personal matter.
I do believe if you have to pay a certain amount a month, you expect to get something for the money which naturally makes an effort a little more worthwhile. Also you figure most who join the site are walking the same path you do.
Did you know there is a Dating Site in Sweden for bored married people, that is how far it is going. Örk!!!
Thank you so much, I am comfertable in my own skin and in no need of meeting someone in a desperate fashion. But with ONLY jokes going on, the "spell" of a "could be something" just slide down the drain, and I do we all need to feel that little spark to set in every ones in awhile......ah, I am just being an old young romantic!!!

to start with, you seem to have had someone by your side most of your life. You probably enjoyed it. Now you have been alone for three years and you are unhappy about that.
A good thing is, to learn and to like being alone. Enjoying your own company and it can be done.
Start it all by looking up things you as an individual would like to do. You may find a passion outside a relationship. Then when you feel secure on your own, have a life on your own, enjoy being on your own.
Start looking for someone. You will notice you are no longer in "need" of having a partner, but rather will enjoy to share however much of your life you want and the two of you decide you want to share together.
Start tomorrow. Look for hobbies, interests, trips....whatever might be of great interest for you. Good Luck.

Connecting Singles does have a sound of dating to it. That might happen only to a swedish ear though.
