The more I age, the more I'm changing my mind about neighbours relationships. In Lisbon, you don't know the neighbour, no need to talk to him, sometimes not even say "hi" in the elevator. In The Netherlands, there are books about the importance of getting along with the neighbours You don't have to deal with them everyday but they need to know a bit about you. I guess you just need to choose the right neighbourhood?
