No expectations here. It may just be time to step out of the cyber world and into the real world. Seems unlikely that the cyber world is going to cross over into the real world for me.
My pic was up for quite awhile. I actually kept it up because my rating kept going down. I wanted to see if it was possible to drop all the way to one.
I've been here off and on for over two years. My chances of actually meeting someone are between slim and none. I also sometimes spend way too much time here when I should be doing other things.
The book I read explains the different styles and actually digs a bit into what might have happened in your past to cause you to end up as an avoider, for example. It also gives examples of what happens when an avoider marries another avoider, or a different personality. Quite an eye opener for me. I think I may need to re-read the book.
I recently read a similar book titled "How We Love". It went through the different personalities or love styles and then listed the type that you would most likely be attracted to based on your own love syle. It also described how the relationship would proceed among the different styles when they got together.
Until people are willing to look at themselves as the problem, none of this accomplishes anything. How many will read this thread and think, "I know someone like that" or "that sounds just like my ex"?
