My attitude is that I am the only one responsible for my life. If this is an example of the "me, myself, and I" attitude, this country needs a whole lot more people like me in order to survive.

There was a group in Texas many years ago that wanted to do the same thing. They even had a monthly magazine that reported on there progress. Unfortunately nothing ever came of it.

Hadn't thought of this angle. If there was a law against stupidity, most of our politicians would be in prison.

This is sad. Quite a few people on here would welcome the opportunity to go on a date, and the OP is trying to figure out a way to ditch her date before even going out with him.

The biggest problem with all of this is that "the law" has been twisted so badly today that what used to be right, is now wrong and vice versa.
