prob not neenaw with the post about skinny - I give up. Just finished Bill Cullen - grudging admiration for the man - the Apprentice didn't really do much for my opinion of him. So what's your fantastic book? Fallen back on an old fave with a Tom Sharpe reread, he has such a squalid imagination ;-)
He's such a prolific writer & is now doing a few different series I think - fave of my best mate (will get around to borrowing them one day) I read a few years ago, mostly Alex Cross ones and then it got a bit... not predictable but the writing style becomes too familiar.
Have to say knew little about her until heard a radio interview about6 months before she died. I had meant to watch the documentary - must find time to watch it on rte player. I have a few books I re-read regularly.
apart from reading the riot act daily, I read Alan Sugar's latest autobiography and I have to say it was extremely dull, dour and completely uninteresting. Now reading an old one - It's a long way from penny apples by Bill Cullen and I have to say despite my reservations it's quite a rollicking read - sort of Maeve Binchy without the romance. And I finally read the Godfather and that was a great read. Especially the first half.
Forgotten about that - I was a CS newbie when a fellow IE forum user accused me of being a man - apparently I made a comment in a mail that only a man would make Anyway, ended up trading phone numbers and became good friends for a while. Not seen him here in ages - but if you're around D At that time I could not believe there were people who'd pretend to me the opposite gender - 18 months on here and well,
No - you'll always just be hoping and waiting for it to end with his current partner in the hope that the scales will fall away.
In the meantime no one else has a hope of getting close to you emotionally.
The other side is - you can end being unintentionally used and abused by this guy - he is assuming it's all cool and you're friends - meanwhile you'd do anything to stay in his life and if he calls you'll be there - Not good for your emotional health.
Am a bit like though - I'd have always rather paid than taken a favour. But as I have got older, realising the importance of implicit trust & offering something for no return.
