am well over it now - just that my last relationship lasted over 10 years and it's still too early to regret much - or dissect it .. but lately am introspective mood.... perhaps that means it is time to get back on the horse ...
When you have loved there will always be regret - whether it be for the things lost, the wasted time, the wish of something that perhaps never was or never could be .... due to the nature of relationships there is usually one who laments more than the other ... A guy I really liked and was dating, just cut off all contact with me after meeting my ex in a pub (the ex had literally vanished for 9 months before that )- he listened to him and never asked me .. and I never saw him again ... regret that one ...
That's the one - have had great male friends that I thought looked good as well but never even tried dating them, a couple I might have had a drunken snog with but the over riding thought was - this is just wrong. And there has never been a "type" for me regarding age, size, height etc - just that alchemistic thing ... (and occasionally too much alcohol ... hmmm, guy in tartan trousers comes to mind)
seen some fabulous epic all over body pieces at an expo years back - big biblical scenes and fantasy stuff' - body suits and sleeves are cool. Not keen on loads and loads of just random pieces all over or homemade knuckle spots or tears ...
if you're applauding her cuteness you are complimenting it ... if you believe you would add to or make perfect her cuteness then you "would complement"
If only had seen this earlier - was cooking for a friend - our weekly Wednesday get together - and was just lamenting the absence of chef type advice guy ... had spicy pork, butternut squash chips and no idea what to put into the stir fried cabbage. For a finish did mushrooms, garlic, cumin seeds and greek yoghurt - it was quite tasty ....
I think though a lot of people meet and commit in their mid 20's to mid thirties - so there's just not as many of them to go around ... by the time you get to my age and upwards we've all been there, done that and torn up the t shirt ... So you get older women looking for younger men as they just aint interested in washing anyone elses socks and doing the whole domestic bliss thing...
I found Burns night much more disappointing - kept fully expecting a haggis with whisky cream sauce to appear on the doorstep and perhaps more importantly a young guy in a kilt brandishing his dirk ...
boy was I let down, I will not believe in calendar holidays ever again
it is almost certain we will default on the repayments - at that stage the EU will remove chunks of Ireland and claim them in lieu of payment. I hear Tramore will be the first bit to go
Well I can't believe it, of all the weekends in the year and I never even gave it thought - arranged weeks ago for a babysitter on Sat night and now every smug couple will be out ... take that as a no, no date
Is a one night stay an option? I could travel down Saturday and be there about lunch time but can't do the 2 nights ... the joys of les enfants terribles...
