RE: to drive or not to drive

He drove the furthest for the frist coffee date but then it was because I had the kids and so the babysitter to pay for but next time I went the extra mile and went nearer to where he lives ... think if you both are young, free and single - halfway is a good choice.

In Scotland it would have to be driving through Glencoe
towards Loch Linnhe.
In Ireland, I love Glencolumcille.

RE: Save the happy troll..

RE: Save the happy troll..

ah now that analogy I get - I was thinking Billy goats gruff stuff... trotting in some places ....

handshake merci beaucoup ...

RE: Save the happy troll..

Someone who posts with no hidden agenda or acrimony to me or other posters is welcome - regardless of whether you have a picture up or not ... some I interact with, many I don't - that is more a reflection on my nature than theirs.
If anyone pretended to be say, Freddie Mercury, Robbie Coltrane or Pat van den Hauwe I would happily befriend them - 99.9% of the population would think they were a weirdo like me.
Similarly, there are real profiles I think engage in "trollish" behaviour at times. We are all in the playground. Play nice or find someone else to play with - there's enough of us here.
rant over

RE: Save the happy troll..

but I could meet someone from here and they might be nothing like I expected or as their profile stated but they might think that they are ... ie - am happy and fun loving but to me they are as fun as a wet Tuesday in Monivea ... troll?

RE: Save the happy troll..

Will somebody please explain what a troll is then ?(leaving self open to troll accusations - although I already had them by mail before now) ... happy trolls .... maybe we need to rename them innocuous pixie folk? dunno

RE: Can you recommend some good sci-fi novels?

Wow - remember reading the first few of these and I'd forgotten about them, all very very readable.
Must go back and have a look cheers

RE: Can you recommend some good sci-fi novels?

great book. totally loved it.

Not Sci-fi but fantasy weird -
The hollow chocolate bunnies of the Apocolapyse, They Came and Ate Us and an absolute fantasy comedy blinder - Snuff Fiction all by Robert Rankin.

RE: Does it taste better with age?

chateau d'yquem does ... others are far better young and fruity ...

RE: what ye having for lunch?

love bubble and squeak on boxing day with the leftovers.

RE: what ye having for lunch?

late lunch as my friend is coming, so I made a butternut squash, spinach and chickpea cannelloni with a spicy tomato sauce and saute garlic mushrooms and rocket salad.

RE: dating more than one person

thumbs up If his heart isn't in it now then it don't look great. If you really think it could go somewhere, be honest - tell him what you put here and that you need him to respect your time and effort as much as you respect his, that you would value a text just saying, "sorry - busy will text later"

RE: 29/30TH OF APRIL

I've still never found my passport moping

RE: Where would you prefer to go for a night out?

It's on my must do this year list - love the place and not been in years ... so many memories ...

RE: Sneaky moby phone checkin....

No. Never did and never would. Would not want it done to me either - although I'd gladly offer my phone if I felt it would put the other persons mind at rest, although don't know why they'd feel like that in first place.

RE: neigbours

I don't see much of my neighbour but he's a nice guy. He comes and borrows odd things now and again - a plunger, lighters (all the time), electricity to sheer his sheep, the phone, a big saucepan ....
He came round lately to check I hadn't exploded laugh He was checking his sheep when he heard a big bang (I assume from the bypass) but he was worried I might have had a problem and came to check.
So all in all a good neighbour.
