Hi I sure can relate to your story. Also met a very nice guy here and went out for 5mos; lives 2-2.5 hrs from me. No issues between me and him but he was dealing with a Narcissist ex. I was hurt when it ended but I am glad it did. Good luck and God Bless...

RE: How about women interested single dads. It isn't always mom who is the single parent.

It depends really on the ages of the children and what kind of kids they are and the kind of man (partner) and father you are.

At first I also said I'm too old for that. But I was involved with a nice guy a few years my junior with 2 little kids and they've helped me change my mind. My kids are all grown up, I thought at my age I would not want to have little kids pestering me around. But I fell in loved with the little ones; the times when we had them with us were a lot more fun than when we didn't have them with us. When we broke up I cried for the kids more than their father.

Personally 2-6 weeks if there is no issue with distance and money. I do not honestly believe in very long chit chat online if it is possible to meet up because there are times when written words do not translate to chemistry.

Yet in saying that, if the other person is real and worth waiting for, then it's really up to the people involved how long they are prepared to wait.

First, here's a hug for you (((((())))))!!!! Do not let yourself feel down just because people you love forgot your birthday. I think it is because they know you know they love you and they don't have to prove it to you hence they don't make a big fuss of it! But find the passion in your heart to celebrate who you are! Go out with your mom or just spend a quite day with her!
