The only way for the world to climb out of this mess is for people to start thinking for themselves. Forget what your parents told you. Forget what the mainstream media attempts to define. Why do you drink Pepsi or Coke ? Because you've been told to.
We all have a brain, which has for the most part simply become a Xerox copier. If your parents were Baptists or Catholics, then you likely are too. If your dad drove a Ford, you likely do too. If you saw it on TV, then it must be true.

I like McCain, but he made a big mistake trying to seduce the female voters by picking a back-woods, ultra-religious, air-head. Her cutesy accent and canned talking points are getting old fast.

I agree with you re: a sense of humour. However, ethnocentrism is the problem. America includes 4 countries.....Mexico is America as is Canada etc. Time to look at a map.
Or every time that you have a drink at home, put $4.00 in a container, which is still cheaper than bar prices. You'd be surprised how much $ there'd be in that bowl at the end of a year.
