I was born at the end of the 2nd world war and witnessed so many more wars.....America and allies now vacation and trade with Vietnam. We supplied Saddam with weapons when he waged war on Iran.....what the f**k ?

She believes that the U.S., effort in Iraq is a mission from God. What was McCain thinking, when he decided to placate the female vote ? Once they took her gag off and allowed her to be interviewed by journalists other than Fox, the Republicans are now trying to figure out how to get her to bow out with grace and a legitimate excuse.
She is no more equipped to become President (If need be) than my cat, or the last moose that she shot.
If my math is right, share the $70 billion with each and every American. That should come to $3.3 million each. It will then be re-inserted into the economy.
It took hundreds of years for the Roman empire to collapse. They fell for the exact same reasons as the US is now discovering. Except everything is now accelerated through technology. If you could go back in time and ask a Roman under Caesar about their country and the power that they held over the known world, they would say, "We're the greatest power on earth, and will remain so".
Wake up, stop listening to the propaganda spewed by partisan media networks. It may hurt, but start thinking for yourselves.
If the gov., bails out the failed institutions with $700 billion of your yet to be taxed dollars, do you not think that your money will also end up in the same black hole ?
I am not religious, but as recent events have unfolded; Pakistan bombing, Wall St., swindle, losing the so-called war in Afghanistan and Iraq, the US threatening Russia, Climate change, Avian flu, etc. I am going to read up on the Biblical Apocalypse, it seems that it is at hand, whether by coincidence or divine providence.
I am a few light years away in the opposite direction from a Conservative, but I must say that I was impressed to a degree by McCain last night on 60 Minutes. However, Obama must be elected. At this point in time he is a breath of much needed fresh air and the logical choice.
As a Canadian in bed with an elephant, (U.S.A.) and it rolls over in the night, I'm going to feel it.
