Writers block

I hate writers block, I stare at the blank pages and watch the clock.
The Words I do scribe are nonsense at best. I need some inspire to aid in my quest.
I gaze out my window and stare up to a cloud. I muse at winged creachers all flocked in a crowd.
The tree I grew up in startled me with a scurry. One of gods little pawed friends, no reason to worry.
I happily watch some children at play, And think to myself, what a wonderful day. Written by...Lisa Hegler

Thank you (letter to mom)

Thank you (letter to mom)

Dearest Mother,
Here is a note to say to you some words I know I should.
Heartfelt sentiments of speech that before I never could.

Thank you for the sleepless nights you walked the floor with me. when my little lungs were sick and doctors were not free.

Thank you for the soothing sounds that saved me from the night:
For all the times your loving arms held me up so tight.

Thank you for the band aids and all your kisses too.
For all the words of kindness, for all your love so true.

Thank you for your lone crusade , four children you selfishly raised.
I’m sure that when he called you home all heaven must have praised.

Envious tears

Envious tears

If ever I do see a red, red rose as fine as thee.
I shall pluck the beauty from where it be,
Toss to the ocean and set it free.

If ever I cross a caged bird of flight,
I’ll set it free on a star lit night.
I’ll watch it as it disappears ,
And dry my face of envious tears.

Dearest friend

Dearest friend

The dearest friend I will ever know gave me life and
helped me grow.
Held me close and kept me warm. I felt safe from every storm.
Patched me up when I fell down. Made me smile to chase the frown.
Soothed my hurting broken heart, carefully mending every part.
Thank you mom for all your care. Thank you most
for just being there.

There once was a man..............

There once was a man…………..

There once was a man with ideas.
He thought he was cool to his peers.
One day to his luck he did meet,
A beautiful gal for to greet.
He got put in his place. He bowed to her grace
and his head shrunk down to it’s size.

( on Florida )

[ On Florida ]

Golden arrows of sunlight pulse through the arms of the old mighty oak The intense rays soothes my body and soul. I recline and inhale the suns glory.

Winged creatures flutter by over head while furry tailed chatterers scamper below. Fresh February air breezes over me . I let go and surrender to the trance. How magnificent to bask in this serene day.

My muse

My muse April 2012

I write my muse the way I feel. This gives me voice and makes me real.

When I am feeling down and blue, I put my thoughts down sure and true.

I love to rhyme the words I write, it keeps me sane and my
Heart wears light.

Imaginary play

Imaginary Play Sep. 2012

Wake up, wake up; lets go greet the day. The sun is shining and ready to play.
Lets hop on a boat and sail across the sea. When our sails catch the wind Our ship will blow free.

We’ll fight knurly old pirates and win their trunk of gold. They will all walk the plank if they don’t do as there told.

We will spend all our treasure on sweet breads and tea. We will live on the deep waters, just you and me.

you know.........

You know it's a bad day when you forget to put the coffee in the coffee.

you know it's a bad day when you wake in the morn and relize your out of TP.

You know it's a bad when your every day jeans are too small but your fat jeans fit just right.

You know it's a bad day when you can't remember where you put things
and you can't remember why you need what you are looking for.

Ode to a computer

Ode to a computer

O, Enchanting computer, how lovely your screen savors and wall papers.
Together we point and click as we navigate through amazing capers.
You have showed me an unlimited place. You have put many a smile upon my face.
The journeys we take and the wonders you teach; you pushed my wisdom and made my mind reach.
E-mail, gaming and blogs are just a small few of the endless web fun we love to do.
So thank you my friend and also your little mouse. Because of you I never have to leave my house.

For America [ A prayer ]

April 2012

For America ( A prayer )

I pray to my only Lord today,
Don’t let America slip away.
Hold us up in your loving hands,
Restore us back to which it stands.

Keep our children safe and strong,
Keep others at bay who would do them wrong.
Watch over our loved ones far away,
Bring them home, soon to stay.
Raise us up to your brilliant light.
This is Americas prayer tonight.

What inspires me

What inspires me April 2012

What inspires me today?
Watching my child kneel and pray.
The warmth of a sunny day.
The critters that come out to play.
Friends that stop by to sit a spell.
The smiles they bring.
The stories they tell.
