Squandered Tomorrow

Walls of doubts formidable
Strong and unbroken
I am left in the deserts
Of squandered moments
Freedom I've accorded you
So you'd know your heart
And return the memories
Of stolen lives
Could it be
That if chance will put you back
To the threshold of their hopes
You'd give the price
Of which was lost
In the prime of their youth?
Quarter of a century
That you used for your losses
A balance of what's owed
From their innocence
Ah but you knew
It wasn't you that pegged the price
For the value of their stolen tomorrow
You think it wasn't even a call
Of pure ethics and moral
That she was a contempt
Of the evils you lured
Or was it her that trickled the bait
So you'd surrender and fall
The sheepskin of an angel
Covered in the shears of wolves.

Was it?

About this poem:
I remember whom I was thinking of when these lines came to me.

I was concerned about human trafficking and how they're lured to feed the greed of the mighty.

Misfortunes will always fall on those that are weak. Yet blameless because of innocence.

Orlando

Oh wail thy beauty, heart and souls broken

Ravaged yet again by a mark of terror

Land of sunshine, land of dreams

Awful sight splattered amongst the greens

None yet has equaled such a scheme

Do we deserve to suffer these pains?

Oh Orlando, an oasis of awakening

new morn

brilliance on the sparkle
of the new morn
as it displaces the dark
and rekindle its new beginning
like the petal
waiting to bloom
so is my heart in yours

as though all the pain
of the buried memories
I am waking up to a new day
a new road
a new life
and as the counsel of time
is closing in on me
I am also rekindling
that perhaps
with the new day
a new hope is born

in my heart
in my body
in my soul
and smile and happiness is upon me
once again
with you...even if only in dreams

I can't be more content
and would ask nothing more
as my eyes feast
with the birth of a new morn
each day..

I am waiting.

Being a fool

Well my love here's the rift
that lies between
It matters not what one may dream
Nor what another may convey
You have your own perception and way

No word or thought will change
or shake your temple built upon
the foundation you lay

Many fools may wish to stay
seeking your audience in their
peculiar dismay

Hence, it only empowers you
to push them away or to choose
what you want to convey

Overall, wisdom dictates to all concerned
love without pain
is love that never learns

Perception and knowledge are two different things
for one guesses the tone of how a message rings
The other has no need to assume what is truth
for it already knows how the bird sings

Nevertheless the fool continues his path to knowledge
blundering along in his own college
Yet are not fools allowed to dream or love or feel
for anyone without being a fool?

the guardians of our lost souls

never lose sight of light
even as pearls of tears falling off your face
painted walls of torture and pain
silk and honey rubbed on your skin
to be scraped off by the tongue of the gods
enthralled as your master
if only to spare your agony
but you know
nothing exist between you and your dreams
promised of a gold filled tomorrow
now rest on your skills
blow and suck and let them lick your petals
ah if only you know you've been fooled
used and worn like those linens
now crumpled on your feet
how long will it be, when you realize
they will get away with these crimes
while you lay rotten, shamed and beaten
and no one heard of your screams
because their weapon and defense
is encrypted in our silence
the never ending game
afforded by money and fame

and as you lay weak and dying
you have become nothing
just a piece of a** bought and paid for

by these masters of evil
we call: the guardians of our lost souls.
if only you knew.

About this poem:
I was touched by the sad plights of our young souls caught in the abyss of prostitution.

I was reading Jeffrey Epstein and the many victims of his evil deeds.

It breaks my heart.

I titled it to signify the lies they promise to the victims and families when their first approach them.

I've seen a grim documentary presented by Demi Moore about their recruiting strategy in Asia especially Nepal, Philippines, etc.

Very sad.

You mask it all too well

I thought you left
Mindful of your future
Your fear of losing your senses
Broken and deserted
Was it your pride
Or your fear that made you leave?
Nah, it was your calculating mind
You knew what we had was good
Maybe even better than those
You've shut out from your heart
But what do I know
I was only a ghost trying to sate
The void that can't ever be filled
Because you always want those
That you can't ever get...

You'll always be alone

Bitter and abandoned,

And the funny thing is?

You can mask it all too well
Relishing in pleasure
Even as you're writhing in pain
Shattered in shards of bitterness
Numbed in pain, bleeding and broken.

our moments

flipping through the pages of times
filled in between our books
those unfaded moments
haunting me deep down

it is not by accident
that they break loose once in a while
breaking my heart over and over again
relentless and strong

But even then
smiles overcome my imaginings
thinking what would've been
if we held on to each other a little longer

but what is done is done
nothing can change the course
that marked our moments
cherised and tucked
here forever in my heart...

never to be forgotten.

No regrets

The shadow of your past lingers on
Like a soft petal of a rose
Frozen in your memory
Alas she found you, called out
And those frozen moments of time come alive

Unfurled, like a dream that shook you
In the wake of dawn
And like a dew that moistened the ground, her lips aching for you to drench,
Harvest it's glorious sweetness only you can, ,,trigger that pleasure she sorely miss in your absence.

Oblivion took reign of your existence
For a while nothing exists between you and her
And why not, she only left you temporarily
She told you, once her wings are full of silver and gold,
Like an eagle she will fly back to you
She promised

Now her future filled with the security of
What money can buy, alas she's back
If only to taste you one more time.

Perhaps even for a lifetime.

Don't worry about me, I surely understand.
I just knew it is just a matter of moments.

And so it is. I'm free and that's all that matters.

Good luck.

And yes, I have no regrets.

I can only thank you for the memories.

Happy thanksgiving to all

I can't be more thankful
for the sun, the flowers
the bees, the birds and my freedom

I can't be more grateful for my joys
for my sufferings and my sorrows
my life, my children and my God

I can't be more thankful that after
illness, comes my strength to survive
and the hopes that lives on, even
in the challenges of times

I can't be more anxious to share gladness
even in the darkness of these evil world we live in
and I can't be more hopeful that peace
will reign and love abounds to all mankind

Yes it is fitting to say thank you
to whomever gave us this world
this life and these blessings

Thank you my God and everyone
for this chance, once in a lifetime
and for the fact that I am here
breathing, smiling, and most of all
wishing each and everyone of us

A happy thanksgiving day.

summer rain

summer it was
when I was found

cold and tired
walking alone
in the rain

the warmth of your touch
made me strong
and made me stand again
on my own

I never thought
it would end. ..really
if I knew,
I would have said more
that would have stayed on my mind
as a reminiscence
of that summer rain

blah blah blah...
I remember you said more
blah blah blah

and. ..
only you and I would have known
what it meant. .

that lovely effect
of the wild summer rain. ..

in daintree, mooseman and cairns

a new morn

portals of mist
sprung unto my heart
a sign of venom
buried away in the past
glittering dew
on the petals
of a new dawn
ready to greet the
brilliance of a sunny morn

I have welcomed just as much
the portals of love
once again,
deep inside my heart
a sign of a new day
that takes me to the realms
of a new journey
full of trust and passion
and I, the new me
will love you as never before
mindful in gratefulness
that once again
love is around

the only truth
that will never change

dust to dust

tears of truth
ironed out off my face
questions I asked
you took for granted
cracks of lies and deceits
are but daggers
that diced me in pieces
I wish I can change
and turn around
looking for easy way out
never crossed my mind
neither have I ever thought
about running away
when love finds me
here in your arms
but now I know I am not
who I have become
a brusque and sullen
subdued by the wind
I am but a willow
with no strength
shifting whichever way
I am lured in
those memories we have woven
will they, too,
perhaps be expunged
when my mind succumbs
and fall to dysfunction?
oh I longed for time to end
and time will take me back
to wherever I came from...

dust to dust.
