Sounds!

The thunderous eoar of the Falls are heard,
Settling down amid the placid air,
Hovering over a nearby lake where
rhe sun paints a smile on my face.
No Blue jay's screech of warning here.
The only sound, the sound of Peace.
A LULLABY FOR ME TO SLEEP.

Poets Corner

Never have I sceen pen kiss paper so sweet
As I have In Poets Corner, true feelings leap out
As poet"s words bring tears to reader"s dy eye
word after word you hear reader:s heart sigh
Because Poet hs willingly shared a pice of his pie
With all who glance at his word
When poem is finished
poet"s heart"s on display
yAnd with each of his words
The world becomes a better place

Dream

my dreams are great,
I slight them not,
Although held together with thread
Of wishful thought. For I remember as
A child, of wishes and dreams thinking
It was Magic or so it seemed.
But now I know our dreams are Hope
we can brig to ourselves of something we know.
Like the presentation of "A single Silver Rose"

boss kitty

He is so big we call him Boss kitty.
He struts with pride and is oh so witty
He climbs the counter to feast on chicken.
This is a meat he finds fingerlicking. But
Now he is lost and we don't know where..
We hope he's not hurt,
it by a car or
lying in the dirt.
His owner worries in silence each day
And I SIT ALONE AND PRAY FOR HIS SAFE RETURN.
aLL WHO KNOW OF HIS LOSS ARE HOPFUL OF HIS RETURN.
boss kitty you are missed not by the few but by the many.

A single Silver Rose

I had a visitor last night
A thought words, intense
There was a presence

Of that I have no doubt
Then, a soft spoken phrase,
"A Single Silver Rose"
A presentation to my soul

Of a silver Rose, it must be said,
For much is said about the red
It is a gift from the other side
Given with love an lots of pride

By someone who, patiently waits
Till your by their side
And hands you a Single Silver Rose

A talel of Two cities

"Hey Jack, Take a look at this picture."
"What's wrong with it?"
"she's smoking a cigarette."
Her profile says she quit in 13." Oh
ya. Sure; then why is it in her mouth?"
"She's striking a pose like Madonna.
Oh ya and what about the bottle of wine in her hand"?
That's tnot a bottle of wine. Its a bottle of Jameson Irish dusky."
"Bet she's having a drink on Patrick's day.
One drink probably or she would be raising the
Bottle from her back on the floor. '
"Jack you always see the brotherly love story of people."
Cause I live in Pittsburg and you live in: LA."
Two different cities."
U think she's an angel in disguise"?
"Yes I do."

Remembering you

I knew the day I met you
Your time with me was forever,
Me without you? Never!

I remember times at the lake
we laughed we argued and loved.
We had something no one could take.
To their demise many tried.
But it always remained, you and I

I think of you always I'll
Never forget, remember me.
Cause as long as there is a thought
Of you and me
Ther will never be a he and I or you and she.

Lieasure Time

lying in my wooden skiff
I watched the clouds roll by
And listened to the water
Slaping portside.

My hand slipped in the water
Grasping ocean's weed
Thats when I thought of Ozzie
My boy when he was rhree
And the neckless that we made,
One for him an one for me

. the sun was very hot
It was around three
Time to awaken
I kept telling me

Back to the shore
To all those house chores
No more naps in boats
Not beneath the sun,
nOT beneath the moon
No teven at lunch time
ttime Just before noon!

Condasending moments

I had just turned sixty, when it all began.
It descended like a rainfall and
progressed to out of hand
I started getting help

to keep up house and chores
Do ashes, dust and
Sometimes mopping Flores.
It was all so very nice
Until she said, once or twice
"I just love it when I
See you drinking Water"
And "Here let me help you
Put your clippies on."
Just like a two year old.
She thought I fit the mold.
She was only seeing numbers,
Not my state of mind
Or even flow of speech.

Berkshire men on Hunt again

The season is upon us now
With upcoming Fall.
White Tail will run
And ducks and geese fall.
Men will hide on limbs
suspended in the air,
Watching turkeys pass
With cold ,blank stares.
Then the ice will freeze.
And out will come the sticks,
The ones with orange flags.
While wives pack their lunches,
In quart size plastic bags
to cook on blazing fires
Lit along the shore
That cooks the fish and meat
While warming hands and feet
All huddle close, as. temperatures drop
And all become as one with only one thought,
"We are Berkshire men
We will never change
Never in a thought, word or age,
