Restless, wide awake, my head spinning around
Reaching out to touch you, but you are nowhere to be found
I look out of my window, know you are under the same sky
We are no longer together, and I have to question why?
We laughed and cried together, had some really special times
Now when I think of you, my words come out in rhymes.
My nights are cold, I shiver so much
Longing, aching, to feel your touch
I while away the hours, try to keep myself buzy
But the constant thoughts of you, make me feel so dizzy
I saw you tonight, we both smiled and said hello
I turned my face away from you, so the hurt would not show
As I lay here in my darkened room, my bed seems incredibly bare
I touch your pillow, shed a tear, wishing you were here!

Sensations, rippling through me, a quiver running down my spine
thought of me eating you, as if sitting down to dine
Tasting, savouring, each little tiny bit
Knowing each course I have, I'll still have room to fit
A little bit more, just a little more, I cannot get my fill
My appetite for you getting stronger, I cannot control my will.
I pour you a drink, we lay down by the fire
Hands roaming, searching, kindling the desire
Feeding, giving nourishment, I offer myself to you
You devour every inch of me, as you are hungrey too.
A little bit more, just a little more, we cannot get our fill
Our appetites getting stronger,we cannot control our will
As the evening falls around us and the light begins to fade
Two bodies lay intertwined, their nakedness displayed
Each has eaten of the other, such forbidden fruit
Try as they did to ignore it,it became a more desperate pursuit
A little bit more, just a little bit more, their mouths open wide
Their appetites getting stronger, to feed the need inside
The feast becomes a banquet, all that they want and more
The feeding becomes a frenzy as if they had never eaten before
Each mouthful, a succulent, tasty delight
The banquet goes on late into the night
A little bit more, just a little bit more, cravings that had to be sated
Their appetites fulfilled, for a little while, content, happy and elated!

NASA Space Shuttle 1981 - 2011
To continue in our quest into space
A new fleet of aircraft, to take the place
Of the Apollo spacecraft, old and worn
So a new type of craft was so welcomingly born!
Wings like an aero plane, but so much more
Flying to heights like no aircraft before!
Rockets to carry her above the earth’s sphere
Once disengaged, she was alone, that’s clear
7 men aboard her on a most historical flight
April 12 1981, must have been an amazing night
Cleared for lift-off the rockets boomed
Columbia in all of her glory, on the landscape loomed!
Her mission pure and simple
To put the systems to the test
To orbit the earth and safely return
Was all that could be hoped for, at best!
Triumphantly she won the day, an amazing feat indeed
As she re entered the earth’s atmosphere, at unprecedented speed
Gracefully she approached the runway, John Young and his team
As the elated Commander of this flight, completed an impossible dream!
Other shuttles followed, to join this amazing fleet
Of reusable winged spacecraft, an aircraft hard to beat
Challenger was lost to us, in the quest for outer space
Endeavour was built to stoically take her place
The missions they have carried out, have enabled us to explore
With the placing of the Hubble Telescope
Beaming back pictures down to earth
That we could have never seen before!
To build an international space station, so very near its completion
In July 2011, we will see the Shuttle deletion!
With just flight remaining the fleet will enter history!
We wonder what will follow them, what sort of craft it will be!
To all of the crews who have flown with them
We admire their courage and vision
To the crew of the Atlantis flight
We wish you a safe, successful, final mission!!

God Speed Atlantis and all aboard - it will be a bitteer sweet mission

Life’s Highway
As we travel down Life’s weary road
So many paths to choose
Depending on the road we take
Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose
Often there will be a crossroads
Where decisions are harder still
The road you choose at this time
May test your courage and will
Obstacles put in your path
On roads that seem impossibly steep
We have to hold onto our faith
Take a risk, close our eyes, and leap
The dreams we hold in the palm of our hands
We don’t really know how they’ll end
But keep on striving, pushing forward
Until the roads very last bend
Travellers along the way, will share the road with you
Some, for only part of the way
Others will be with you forever,
And on the road with you, they’ll stay
Take time to sit and rest a while
Reflect on what may, lay ahead
Replenish your strength, take time to relax
This will stand you in good stead
The road may be a long one,
Who knows what lies in store?
You shall win the race, achieve your dreams,
Of that, I am quite sure
Friends will be there to lift you,
To carry you should you fall?
To pick you up, put you back on your feet
Help you to remain standing tall
Until at last at your journeys end,
You enjoy a long earned rest
Knowing that during this long tiring road
You always tried your best!

Children of Africa
The sun, a ball of fire...a brazen orange glow
Dried up riverbanks, no water there to flow
No crops, means no food, what are they to do
People out In Africa need help from me and you
Children crying, even dying
Eyes shrunken in their heads
Tattered clothes, no shoes on their feet
for them no comfy beds
Filled with pain, a mother starts to cry
No milk in her breast to feed, her child will surely die
A war zone all around them, danger everywhere
the world sits by and watches, doesn’t anybody care?
Children should be carefree, playing and laughing out loud
not laying in a hut somewhere, covered by a shroud
We moan about such trivial things, what comic books to buy
I now think of the African kids, I let out a frustrating sigh!
So much that we can do, we have more than enough to share
Donate some of my pocket money, let them know I care
I know that is wouldn’t take much
To show these starving children, a tender and human touch

IRENE
The stillness, the calm, birds hushed,
as the dark clouds gatherered over head
The wind, howling, moaning, groaning
The clouds, angry and black, as heavy as lead
People hurrying, scurrying, battoning down the doors
Sheltering in safety in cellers, below the ground floors
The rain, lashing, crashing, smashing to the ground
Thunder, lightening......such a scary sound
Trees uprooted, tossed upon the ground
Destruction, in all directions, as rubble becomes a mound
The deluge continues, with such savage relent
"End of the world" say the sinners "Repent"
Mother nature, unleashes her rage
The extent of her damage, we are yet to guage
When the morning breaks, and the sun cast its light
The destruction she caused will be brought to light
All we can pray, for one, not a round
That you come through it, safe and sound

When the first buds of Spring begin to blossom
As the cold of the winter, fades away
The sun will warm your heart, bring with it ,the promise of a new tomorrow
Time to sprout, and put away the sorrow
Like a flower turn your face to the light,
its warmth will help you to grow
With Your petals unfurled,
you can face the world,
with a stem upright and strong
In this garden of life, you will firmly plant yourself in a place
where you'll know that you belong

The Painter
With a special eye, he picks up the the view
Deftly gathering each colour and Hue
Seeing his subject in a whole new light
He picks up a canvas, his face glowing bright
He sets up his easel, in just the right place
Affixing the canvas, with ease and grace
His palette close by, his brushes all clean
His mind capturing the subject, which is soon to be seen
His brush strokes can be light
Yet at times needed, are bold
Lovingly between his fingers
his beloved paintbrush he holds
His eyes darting back and forth
Keeping his subject in full sight
Capturing each minute detail
As the picture springs into life
All time and space stand still for him
He is driven like the wind,
Concentration upon his brow
For his painting is not a whim
To create a natural beauty
The texture, the tones of colour
As he finishes his masterpiece
His heart, could not be fuller!

I wait,
I anticipate!
All my hunger you will sate
My imagination
Lives the sensation
It will be worth the wait
s*xual tension
Heightened frustration
Soon to become, a feeling of elation
I can feel the heat
Between the sheet
Inflamed when two bodies meet
Unbridled desire
Set on fire
Passion that takes me higher and higher
I wait
I anticipate!
All your hunger, I will sate!

Nitter, natter, nitter, natter
The world wide web is awake with chatter
Insomniacs, lonely hearts,
Looking to make friends
some, as mad as a hatter!
Strangers, talk for hours,
Whiling the night away
Whatever the topic, they go on and on
till night time, soon becomes day
WWW the world wide web
Opens up avenues and doors
New acquaintances, friends that become lovers
Communications, like never before
We can hide behind our PC,
Build a picture of the somebody, we may be
The person on the other end, truly cannot see
Who you are and what you do
But are happy to share some time with you
It’s a little sad, to communicate this way,
But some have no choice
Timid, shy, Introverted or lonely,
In public, they may not have a voice have a voice
On the web they become new persona
Flirtatious, outgoing, no longer the loner
Meeting people, if only on line
As long as they stay safe, that is just fine
Tired fingers do the walking,
Hours upon hours of endless talking
The keyboard in overdrive, your hard drive whirring
Do you really know the person,
To whom your dreams, you are sharing?
Some become friends; you get to know quite well
Will one become a special friend? Only time will tell!
To all on CS, whatever your quest
I bid you all a Big hello, and wish you All the best!!

The sky has turned grey
The leaves gone from the trees
A cold wind replaces
The warm summer breeze
Birds have flown south
I watched them flock together
In their hundreds, across the sky, they soared
In search of warmer weather
The garden is bare, summer colours asleep
The buds of winter blooms, just beginning to peep
Squirrels gathering their winter crop
Scurrying around they never seem to stop
The dark nights are drawing ln
How long the night appears to be
Memories of those long summer nights
When you lay here with me
You picked me summer flowers
we sat together on the lawn
sitting under a starlit sky
often chatting until dawn
I savoured every moment,
mine was not to reason why
When come the end of summer,
you would have to say goodbye
Summer love, bright and breezy
Bittersweet, we had to part
The warmth of the memory, of hot summer nights
Through the winter, they'll warm my heart!

Capturing the Moments
Like the lens of a camera, Use your eye
To capture the moments
as the day whizzes by
The sound of laughter of a beloved child
Or a bird singing
The call of the wild
A sunrise, painting the heavens,
ablaze across the sky
A bright orange glow, so beautiful, you sigh
The old lady crossing the street
Tottering unsteady upon her feet
As you stop to help her, she gives a smile so sweet
The sound of a new born baby
Its cries filling the room
To find itself in an unfamiliar place, outside its mothers womb
A butterfly emerging, wings unfurled
awakening from its chrysalis
It enters a brand new world
Your mothers voice, soothing in your ears
and the many times she comforts you
As you passed through those childhood years
A summers day, the harvest moon
The changing seasons
That all pass too soon
A warm embrace, someone holding you tight
The caress of a hand
And a warm kiss goodnight
Moments, magic moments
be them big or small
Open your eyes, see them,
and capture one and all!
