The Eternal Fall

I can feel myself fall into the eternal bliss,
All this worlds hurt will never be missed.
I loose a hold and slip into the void,
this dreaded misstep has long been foretold.
I reach up for a hold to keep me in this world,
but I know what has stricken me hopeless and cold.
My destiny looms before my very soul,
Hell is predestined to receive my immortal soul.
I scream for the very thing that I desperately need,
But eternal hurt is all that I feed.
My soul screams for a desperate release,
something dark denies my prayer for eternal bliss.
I know that hurt will encompass my lingering days,
till death takes its abysmal ways.
My last scream is for a single prayer,
it's all that I can hope will take me there.
I'm deceived, all that remains is remorse and doubt,
I know now there's only one way I'll ever get out.

About this poem:
Not a light read, but an insight into a time when I felt alone and abandoned. Not for my taste, but how I felt after a rather dark time in my life. I also write childrens stories, ironic isn't it. 180 degrees from my poem I posted yesterday. I have more let me know what you want. kindly---Penwick

The Touch of Another

The touch of another can mean many different things,
the touch of a handshake and its meaning to be polite, respectful, and diplomatic.
The touch of a simple note, email, or correspondence,
with the hope of a reciprocated simple response, a personal feeling, or a provoking thought.
The needed touch of a mother or father showing the love of a child,
a touch felt throughout life, a bond that is never broken or diminished.
The touch of a friend, meant to develop a bond of caring,
the need for people in our lives whether they be casual or developed over time.
The touch of a compliment or a kind word from another person,
the need to be noticed, respected, or acknowledged.
The need to know that we can care about each other,
even if only with the simplest of intentions.
The touch of a person passing by in a crowd, a simple thing that just happens,
telling us that it's ok for us to have our own space and to give it up.
Then there's the touch of a developing relationship,
how it starts off with a simple touch, a mild embrace, or a hug.
A touch of time spent together whether it be minutes, hours, or days,
knowing the we never know what another person might be in our lives unless we are willing to invest a little time getting to know each other.
And the deeper touch of love between a man and a woman,
the need to expose our naked feelings and desires, our dreams, and aspirations.
The touch that exposes every part of ourselves, be it our mind, spirit, or body.
The deep touch needing to give and to receive,
to give all that we are and to do it openly and to give it freely.
And the touch of our bodies as we come together,
the desire to satisfy our longing, our basic needs, and our lust to give and to get what we desire.
And the deepest touch of all that we can feel,
being satisfied that in another we can feel secure, open to the fullest extent of our being and accepted for who we are and what we can give.
