Lead me,please..

I want to be the best writer
I want to throw that punch like no other fighter
My passion has never known a greater height
But still,i'm overtaken by fright.

The zeal marvels me within
Sometimes i sit & ponder if this is really me
Is it a reality or a dream
That whenever i hold my pen,i feel a new being.

Can i ever be greater than Shakesphere?
Can i write so freely with great flair?
It's like with a single line i convince you the world is a sphere
Like always doing things that can never be compared.

But still,i admit to defeat
Bowing my head while my heart grieves
Though it's never easy to admit
I can only be the best if you lead me up the cliff.

Lead me,please...

Pen On A Paper.

I hear a loud 'boom' from afar
Every gun fired makes me quiver
Soldiers running so confused helta skelta
Their shouts coming to me as mere whispers.

Back in the cave,i lean against the wall
With every gun blast,i watch another soldier fall
Wimpering in pain,the wounded crawl
Clothed in blood & sweat, always stumbled upon.

A pen on a paper!
What a mysterious combination
Houses turning to rubbles
Housewives quickly become widows.

These soldiers all died before they came
And now at the war front, they'll die again
Praying the enemy misses his aim
But in a flash, they walk through hell's gate.

Wars don't start on the battlefield
They start with a pen & a paper
A pact
Through which the good, bad & ugly are killed
To them, life is worth a few dollars
But please, help me tell them we are tired
Show them the destruction caused each time their pen hits that paper.

About this poem:
Just trying to remind us all that wars don't start on the battledfield.it starts with decisions taken by those in authority in their luxury houses & sometimes, the soldiers don't know what they are fighting for.

A Poet's World.

How will my writes be without you?
Without your comments to see me through
Those little lines you chip in below
Always pick me up & tall i grow.

Though sometimes you crush my ego
With a simple stroke, you bruise my elbow
But with that you rekindle my light's glow
You fill my ink & proudly watch my pen flow.

gnj4u,you've always been there
Though some may think you never care
But you're always busy bringing out the best
From those who constantly fail the poet's test.

agoodguy2have,has always made me proud
With simple lines, he elevates you to the cloud
Tap-tap-tap,his fingers hit his keyboard
& with every touch,he shows you a new word.

Don't tell me you've not heard of CarolJoyce
That ever happy-looking 'girl'
Looking for flaws in every poem posted
Not to mock, but to correct you instead.

marikia,pilgrimimageoflove & freeatlast,i'll never forget
That nice lady & those handsome gents
Always coming on board all smiles
Making me pick my pen from a thousand miles.

Can't call everybody it's a very long list
But with every line we write someone's heart find bliss
What a gift we've all been given!
A poet's world is the best to live in.

Wild Wild West.

I just want to cry!
I just want to know why my people struggle to unify
i want to blame somebody
with my middlde finger in his eye
so he feels the great pain that has gotten me vapourised
put a gun against their temple
squeeze the bullet into their mental
& crush all their dentals
so vengful!

But with my pencil,i stand all the pain
try my best to show the world events full of shame
J-town was peace
they tried to cancel the name
but even when the fire burnt
the sand still remained.

The winds came asturd
our very last hope lost in flames
when i heard i was like 'oh God,not her again'
but in faith we remain
hoping for the daybreak
do whatever that it may take
to see the light again.

Wishfull is,
my memories of peaceful bliss
no street made of deceitfulness
evil is,
now around where all my people live
neither hero quit.

J-town i miss how you were
tell me,how did this occur?
now, memories of peace are so blur
& you were so pretty i once swore
but now i drive through the city thinking this is not her
she seem so strange
when did she change?
Blood on her streets
smoke in the sky
can't feel her heartbeat
no hope in her eyes
orphans,coffins,bastards,caskets,mass burials
how're going to move pass this?
the sun is about to set
i'm getting ready for the war
i feel it isn't over yet!

So,can i get your gun?
can i get your vest?
cos in J-town it's the wild wild west
down here everyone curse,no one bless
nobody is going to sleep & nobody is going
down here everyone curse,no one bless
cos in J-town it's the wild wild west!

I'll be with you always..

The night skies was without a single star
voices from beside me seem miles away
confussion was etched on my weary face
only my voice i hear in this deserted cave.

I searched the earth far & wide
voyaging the deep blue waters without focus
my ship forced through the stormy tides
but in the middle of sea,it lost it's course.

With hands akimbo,i sat on deck
if it ends here, which story will i tell
the thought gave me a sweaty neck
but just then, the lord himself appeared.

What i've always searched for was within me
waitin earnestly for me to call on Him
& just as he spoke,i found relief
the pang in me suddenly lost it's grip
He commanded the winds to fill my sail
& as he left,He Said 'i'll be with you always'.

Wasted Years...

I once knew a man with great aspiration, zeal & vigour
At 20,he wanted to conquer the world
but he realised it was too much for him
Then at 30,he focused on changing the earth
and for the second time,he met a brick-wall.

At 40,his dream was to rebuild his continent
but again the burden of this task crushed him
Then at 50,he wanted to change his country
unfortunately, that turned out disappointing for him
So at 60,his dream drifted to restructuring his state
again,he was completely incompetent.

And at that point,he realised he was yet to change his family
suddenly at 70,that became his utmost desire
As i looked from a distance i could tell his foolishness knew no bound
he had climbed his ladder from top to bottom
But it was already too late for him
cos he died just yesterday.

Torn

I still can't help myself from pondering
It's taking too long to know the truth
What caused that sullen face & sleek cheeks
This,i've asked more than i breathe

Your blue eyes that once radiate life
The eyes, once bright like a perfect night sky
Are now too cold to behold
Just as i long for ur comfort every moment
I always meet a brick-wall of torment

My inspiration has run dry
Motivation vapourized the last time u smiled
Do u know i've suffered more from this?
Though it's ur heart that was split

Ur joy had always been mine
Ur pain always brought me pain
But now it's more than my heart can take
& i wish u come back for love's sake

Cos in my dreams i see ur happy face
At dawn,it's like dead flowers in a vase
So,next time i sleep,i wish i never wake
Cos in that dreamland,u smiled again
There,i shared with u my heart's grief
& so sudden,ur eyes brought me relief
But that was just an illusion
One i wuld trade for anything without a second thought

Now i'm bound & broken on this floor
And into my skin,i slowly crawl
Till i see that light in ur blue eyes
I'll silently lie here cold & torn.

Lost Glory

The pride of her youth
never stopped dazzling like a golden tooth
as the joy of future motherhood
brought out of her,a glorious mood

Every man longed with desire
her natural curves set their hearts on fire
a perfect symbol of beauty, she was
a damsel you rarely come across
though she was always in their dreams
she invited non to savour her skin

I knew her from afar
i could sense her aura in the dark
she dazzled with great femininity
her presense radiates pure serenity

But beauty soon flushed her sanity
praises clouded her senses at her precious prime
so sudden she threw cautions to the wind
to her,his approach wasn't deceptive

He edged through her innocent hymen
riped-off motherhood's dignity
in a twinkle of an eye purity was violated
it was too late for regrets
she lost her virginity through a one-night stand.

My Full Moon

My scars blemish
daring thongs prick my innocent flesh
anguish stares me without sympathy
i wish you know how i feel

My heart experience it's darkest moment
sorrow whips me this hour
you were life's brightest comet
the lily that outshown every other flower

But i saw you yesterday
radiating life like a nightingale
now tears cascade my sleek cheeks
with thoughts i can never relinguish

I wish for a last embrace
still you left me without a trace
stroking my scroll with the deepest regret
i reminisce your past from my heart's depth

You were an epitome of joy
a lake from the purest of waters
no doubt you were my full moon
but your light went out too soon.
