I believe that imagining is both fun, and probably crucial.
Imagine, a super hero saving the world.
Imagine what will happen if I fail the English Regents.
Or even, imagine if I get kicked out of school.
We sometimes use our imagination to forget about our woes.
It sometimes helps us out in life.
It’s helping me come up with this poem today.
Imagining does not hurt us
It only helps us.
You can either imagine what happens if you walk in a bad neighborhood,
Or if you are trying to forget about your woes for a bit,
Imagining, in my opinion, is a good thing to have.

It was a dark and stormy night.
I was walking alone by myself.
I stepped on something dark.
It was a black marker.
This marker however, was no ordinary marker.
It was a black highlighter.
A few minutes later, (after I picked up the black highlighter)
A gang attacked me.
When I escaped, I went to the bus stop.
But at the bus stop, the bus almost hit me.
When I got home, I realized that I had to go to the store.
When I left my house, I almost locked myself out.
I had to do some homework.
I thought the black highlighter would be helpful.
When I used the black highlighter,
The line that I highlighted was impossible to read.
But when I used the black highlighter to black out private information,
I could STILL read the information!!!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS HIGHLIGHTER?!
When I showed it to two of my friends the next day,
They hated me.
Even a girl that I was in love with rejected me.
All of this however was nothing compared to what was going to happen next.
That night, all of my friends were dying one by one.
The CIA realized that they were using black highlighters.
But, they did not realize that if they highlighted a persons’ name,
That person would die 24 hours later.
Then all of a sudden, I got a heart attack.
And I died from it.
Because the night before, a CIA member highlighted my name.
On his way home, he dropped the black highlighter.
And I happened to come across it.
So, those are the negative effects of THE BLACK HIGHLIGHTER.

There is a big difference between generations.
Today, there is a very big difference.
The older ones like Doo-wop.
The younger ones like hip-hop.
The older listens to records
The young listens to CD’s and iPods
The older talks about the past
The younger talks about the future
Basically, there’s a difference in every generation.
But one thing is the same.
Our love for each other.
The older generations teach what they know to the younger generations.
As when they grow into the older, they’ll have the knowledge for the new young to learn.
Eventually, the older generation will die out.
All we need is love.
Love for all generations.

Misery, Misery, Misery.
It sure loves company.
I will never know if this will ever end
Disappointment seems to me my only friend!
I’m always feeling down and feeling bummed out
I sometimes get the urge to just shout!
I‘m already facing the fact that no one wants me
I’m always having break ups and it’s not fair
Mr. Cellophane should be my name
Because no one ever notices that I’m there!
Misery, Misery Misery
I have lost all my confidence in me!
I completely give up, all hope is lost
It feels like my misery became my boss.
It takes a strong heart to cry,
but a stronger heart to say why
All this pain and devastation, oh how it tortures me inside!
If you don’t care, then why am I not surprised?
There’s nothing that I can do.
Oh misery misery misery, I cannot break through!
If you don’t care, then you must be a real jerk and a foe
Go on do your worst because I stopped caring a long time ago!

One Way Street (08/26/06)
Making friends is not easy.
And trying to find a girl friend is even harder.
Everyday, I try to talk to girls,
They love giving me problems.
I try to get a gf,
All they do is say NO.
I tried to get along with the girls just fine.
But I found out, most are so unkind.
I can’t believe, I felt sympathy,
For all those who had a problem with me.
The haters always tell me lies,
But I was not the one who put the tears in their eyes.
They make me feel like I’m on a one way street
moving in the wrong direction.
And since they hate me,
They never wanted a connection.
This makes me afraid.
Since I’m always on this one way street,
I’ll make my move too late
And love will get left behind.
But I did learn from this one way street.
I learn not to let anyone take advantage of me.
