Walls Poetry (3)

The words I write are of a romantic side of myself
to be revealed to a select few
who are cherished as they cherish whom
I have this need to love and be loved
to hold in my arms the one that melts my legs from beneath
that sends my spirit soaring above, beyond mortals
to a spiritual plain of exsistance
where our very souls will touch
and the unlimited boundaries of our love will be reached

At night alone in my room
I wait out the night
it will be tomorrow soon

Tomorrow will come
then it will go
another night spent
with myself in my room

I have love to give,
this is true
so much love I have
I become unglued

I need a girl to love,
this is no lie
it's not a want or desire
but a need that's inspired

I need to love
it is plain to see
by the way I react
when cut down at the knee

Fear not of my love
it can not hurt you
But time poorly spent
will catch up to you

Time is short
life time is constantly spent
let us kindle the flames
that bring us contentment

From contentment will come
happiness for you and i
and bring back that glow
you once had when you smile

So lets drop our baggage
and kick it out the door
thinking of each other
forevermore

a lonely soul am i
for i have not a love
with out deceit in her eye
my search for her
is now my quest
for i lost my last love
though i did my best
i can not live with tyranny and shame
laddled on me by those i loved
and others that have no shame
then with out a human concern
that i am already in pain
they joyfully tell me
I am to blame
we are middle aged
as father time marches by
i wonder what life would be like
had she stood by my side
living a good life
as my bride
