A feel good poem

I like to make up poems on the spot, i never know what im writing from one line to the next, i tend to think this is the best and most expressive way to write. Seriously though, if you fancy a poem on any subject/topic/or silliness, send me an email here and I will post one just for you.. Enjoy :-)

Its funny sometimes,
how the little things matter,
how we listen to gossip,
and mindless chatter

Its funny sometimes,
how we stress for no reason,
we feel down on a sunday,
or we change with each season

Its funny sometimes,
how we can feel so alone,
wanting someone to visit,
wanting someone to phone

Its funny sometimes,
how we just need a hug,
to scootch up on the sofa,
and cuddle and snug

Its funny sometimes,
when things get us down,
always looking at the floor,
always showing a frown,

Its funny sometimes,
if we just lift our heads,
look at the world,
and smile instead

Embrace every meeting,
enjoy every talk,
sharing those special moments,
laughing together on a nice long walk.

Open our eyes,
and take in every sight,
theres no time for sadness,
its time to fight!

Its funny sometimes,
that everything is fine,
and the people who love you,
have been right here the whole time.

Poets Corner

Ive not been here for a bit,
Im sorry Ive not been by,
Im sorry I have missed you all,
but heres the reasons why,

Life has been crazy here,
Im not the only one,
Its one thing after another,
If its not my dad, its my mum

If its not friends coming to stay,
Its the typical man flu,
If im not working away,
Im trying to decorate my loo,

Its one thing after another,
but this much is true,
despite this hectic life,
I enjoy sharing with all of you

So im sorry if ive neglected,
some fantastic written stuff,
and missed the chance to tell you all,
how its been smooth with the rough

We all have our problems,
and each seem so much worse
but atleast I have "The Corner"
to read and share my verse.

:-)

Thanks for reading folks and I look forward to being back soon properly, everything is fine here, im always smiling :-)

Ode to my hero...

Ok, so its 4:30am here and im just in from the pubs/clubs and felt like a little rhyme, they are all similar in the type of verse i use, im still not sure what its called, but this type of rhyming sure has a name..

Ode to me hero....

It must be hard,
being who you are,
with a world so welcoming,
yet you come from afar

Your more than a bird,
your more than a plane,
your more than a face,
whizzing past a train

You give people hope,
they sleep sound,
knowing your there,
knowing your around

Your all thats good,
all i hope to be,
it makes me look,
for special things inside of me.

your crimson cape,
flashes up high,
the crowd cheers,
and i start to sigh...

for the people reading,
they just dont see,
for i am you,
and you are me

this poen is about,
who i need to be,
not just a hero,
a man with a dream

I cannot bleed,
I cannot die,
I look at the world,
and again i sigh

i want to be human,
i want to be free,
its really not easy,
to be me....

About this poem:
A little story:

I was 6 years old, i entered the living room and was clearly in "the huff", my father asked me what was wrong!?

I said "ok, dad, imagine you were god" he did , "ok, now, if i came to you and said, ok god, give me all the powers of superman, make me that special and i will help YOU, i will make peace, stop wars, cure hunger and save lives, the deal is, if i missuse my powers you can just take them right back..."

my dad pondered for a moment and said

"son, your right, i would give you that chance.."

with that i stood up, placed my hands in my pockets, and shrugged with another deep sigh.. "Then whats gods problem!!? sheesh!!"

back then i really didnt understand why he didnt grant my wish...lol...

For the lovely members of CS Pt.1

This Poem is for various members of CS that frequent this section, and after a nice email request from Swade777, I accepted the invite to write a little ditty about those members - Enjoy.

Swade777.

Greenfingers Swade,
lives out in the sticks,
not much chance there,
to meet many chicks,

So he came to CS,
and made lots of friends,
maybe an ideal mate?
but that all depends,

Depends if your willing,
to stand his test,
cause this gent deserves,
only the best,
so drop your reserves,
as I can atest,
this grounded man,
is nowt like the rest :-)

GNJ4U

Now here is a woman,
I'd get along with fine,
She loves her poetry,
and she loves to rhyme

She enjoys the outdoors,
and likes nature like me,
She is lovely and sincere,
Im sure you'll agree

She works with computers,
so intelligent to boot,
so as we say in Scotland,
"Guys, git yer passports oot!".

Grandad

Here is a gent,
that is noble and true,
He's here to meet friends,
but like me and you,

He hope to find more,
his "soul mate" he seeks,
Im sure he will find her,
C'mon CS geeks!

Get writing to this chap,
before he is taken,
by a lucky woman,
who happy he is making

Cause he is a catch,
anyone can see,
He did it wrong twice,
So its time for 3?

I know that sounds bad,
but i must itterate,
that its never easy,
finding a true "soul mate".

Freckles123

What can i say,
about Liverpool's best?,
Shes smart and gorgeous,
and not like the rest

She will listen contently,
whenever you talk,
but dont piss her off,
or she's gonna walk

She "wont suffer fools"
and takes no shit,
this may put men off,
ive got to admit

But for the few,
that put in the time,
theres no sweeter prize,
theres nothing so fine

Than the love of a woman,
who knows her heart true,
and still has bags of room,
for someone like you. x

thesunandthesea

Sometimes you look,
for all of your life,
and you'll never find someone,
a suitable wife

I know this sounds silly,
i know it sounds trite,
but now i believe,
in love at first sight!

I cant beleive she's single,
whats wrong with some guys?
I still dont believe it,
I must rub my eyes!

Only 2 things to say,
to this beauty so true,
I looked up "Angel" in the dictionary,
and saw a picture of you

But if you dont find "the one"
then thesunandthesea,
its simple,
come marry me :-)

Hope you guys enjoyed it. It was fun to write x

My Willow Tree

I remember when i was five,

my favourite place to be,
was not school or the playground,
it was my special willow tree.

I could climb it and sit on it,
it would even give me shade,
sitting under it on a hot day,
with my little bucket and spade.

When i was twelve I'll never forget,
climbing up to the top of the tree,
I fell, i slipped and hit my head,
I broke my arm in three.

My parents roared
"thats enough, were sick of that damn tree"
"its coming down tomorrow"
"no more climbing for you, you see!"

I got out of hospital the very next day,
and came home to see,
a little knee high tree stump,
where my willow used to be.

I cried for weeks and weeks,
now where will i be?
i have no where else to sit,
i miss my willow tree.

When I grow up

When i was just 6 my mum asked of me,
when you are older what will you be?
I went and i played and i gave it some thought,
A doctor or a lawyer, even an astronaught?

As I got older it came to pass,
I would stick in at school
and do well in class,
I got good grades and kept my nose clean,
"Its doesnt matter where im going, I know where ive been"

After high school,
I got my degree,
My parents face,
thier so proud of me,
I took a deep breath and told them my thoughts,
"Mum, dad, ive decided, im gonna be cop"

They smiled and said
"Thats a wise choice son,
you can do this job better than anyone"

Life was good,
I had everything you see,
A new born baby and a wife to be.

One day at work I was breaching a house,
I snuck up to the door quiet as a mouse,
"Police! get your hands up!"
As i ran through the door
BANG, i found myself laying on the floor.

In my thoughts i reflected,
on all that had passed,
doing well in school,
aceing each class,

making my parents proud and living my life,
My gorgeous little girl and my darling wife,

This all didnt matter it had to be said,
When I grow up I dont want to be dead.

About this poem:
I have no idea why I wrote this, I used to be a cop, Im not anymore.

I guess this is a poem for all the men and women of law enforcement across the globe that put thier life on the line each day to save others.

My ideal match

I used to be fussy,
but now i am not,
I used to want perfect,
or so i thought.

but my perception of perfect,
just wasnt true,
I think i had perfect,
it changed my whole view.

Because it still ended the same,
with my heart torn in two,
and was left in the dark
not knowing what to do.

when the darkness closes,
it gets pretty thick,
my heart is breaking,
i think im going to be sick.

but as time goes by,
you live and you learn,
no longer will I ache,
no longer will I yearn.

'Cause fate has a plan for me,
to find true love,
whatever that may be,
its written up above.
