Sometimes I feel like it was a mistake to sign up for this site.
Hello out there! I have been here for a week now and the 3 "women" I have met so far are either begging for money to get out of Nigeria or they want to open up a checking account in my name so they could send me some money for safekeeping. I believe that is called money laundering and I am not going to prison for 25 years for any con artists scheming plans. I have learned if you are reading the Emails they send you their syntax it is often rambling or full of misspelled words and sentence fragments which sometimes sounds like a babbling 5 year old learning to speak English. Even if I don't meet someone here I can at least give others a warning ahead of time of what to expect from these lowlifes. So lately my gut instinct is to avoid meeting someone here and just forget about relationships altogether. But some part of my conscious tells me to stay and convinces me not all of them are the kind of scamming parasites that roam here. Because as I look around and see the many souls that are here searching for someone to share all of life's joyous experiences. So I have not given up hope yet. I also have another personal challenge I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's. I have had it since I was 34 and thankfully the medications the doctors prescribe me all but totally eliminate my tremors and imbalanced gait. Which causes me to have trouble walking. But my neurologist says that it is imperative that I walk as much as I can. (Which now I am up to five miles everyday). I still am a little self conscious as I walk through some of the subdivisions here. I have it in my head that everyone thinks I am some crippled old man who uses a cane to get around with. But now it doesn't bother me anymore because most of the neighbors I pass by are always friendly and on occasions bring me a cold soda or water and offer their prayers and encouragement. I am so fortunate that there are a lot of people that show their kindness and hospitality towards me. They have instilled so much confidence in me that I never knew was there. I cannot thank them enough. Now I feel like a spry teenager instead of a 49 year old man. Hopefully as the days go by I hope that some of you lovely ladies extend an invitation to correspond with me and maybe text or chat online. I hope you will seek out my profile and find anything that was not covered here. I would like to tell each and everyone of you that if your heartbroken or suffering mentally, physically and have doubts about yourself I will leave you with this bit of advice. You are the Commander of your Fate and the Captain of your Destiny. I follow that mantra everyday even through the frustrations of finding a worthy lady who is full of confidence, life and joy. One who can appreciate what is inside me more than the physical challenges that comes with being a Parkinson's patient. I will patiently wait until that special lady finds me.
